Browns Hope Amari Cooper Will Return In Week 18
12 months agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he hopes the extra rest will help wide receiver Amari Cooper (heel) to heal up and be ready to go for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cooper tried hard to play in the Thursday night win over the New York Jets, but he wasn't able to make it happen on a short week. Fantasy managers were bummed that Cooper wasn't able to try for an encore in Week 17 after setting a franchise record on Christmas Eve last Sunday with 265 receiving yards and two touchdowns on a season-high 11 receptions. The 29-year-old could be good to go next week if fantasy managers are still playing for something. In the first meeting with Cincy all the way back in Week 1, Cooper managed only three receptions on seven targets for 37 yards. We'd expect him to have a better performance this time around if he plays, especially if Elijah Moore (concussion) is inactive.
