1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) is headed to Jacksonville to throw the next couple of weeks with quarterbacks coach Will Hewlett and orthopedic specialist Tom Gormely, which is another sign that Purdy is progressing through his rehab following offseason elbow surgery. He remains on track to be ready for the start of the 2023 season. After an impressive rookie season in 2022, the 23-year-old will be San Fran's starter under center this year as long as he's fully healthy. In the meantime if Purdy isn't ready for the start of training camp at the end of July, Sam Darnold and Trey Lance will split first-team repetitions in practices. Purdy was highly accurate and has plenty of weapons around him in the offense, but he'll be a low-end QB2 in fantasy coming off significant surgery.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
