Carolina Panthers star edge rusher Brian Burns (ankle) is still recovering from offseason ankle surgery, but he is fully expected to be back on the field for the start of training camp at the end of July. Burns wasn't participating in drills at minicamp, but he was seen helping some teammates during drills. The 25-year-old pass-rusher should be a full-go for Week 1 of the regular season, barring a setback, after having surgery in mid-April to fix a small fracture in his right ankle. The former first-rounder has been a Pro Bowler each of the last two seasons and has racked up 65 solo tackles, 21.5 sacks, 30 tackles for loss, 40 QB hits, seven passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 33 games over that time span. Burns has at least 7.5 sacks in each of his four NFL seasons and totaled a season-high 12.5 sacks in 16 starts in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
