Brenton Doyle Back In Rockies Lineup
6 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (knee) is starting in center field and is batting leadoff for the Rockies on Monday for the series opener against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and left-hander James Paxton. Left-patellar tendonitis kept Doyle out the last two games, but he's feeling better now and is ready to roll to start the new week. The 26-year-old should be returned to starting fantasy lineups against a vulnerable left-hander while batting out of the leadoff spot. Doyle is hitting .268 (64-for-239) with five homers, 19 RBI and 18 stolen bases in his 67 games in 2024 after hitting just .203 with 10 homers and 22 steals in 126 games in his first year in the big leagues in 2023. Doyle has yet to homer against a southpaw this year, but he's gone 14-for-51 (.275) against them and is hitting over .300 in the last two weeks.
