Brayan Bello Back On The Mound Sunday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello (forearm) is back on the mound on Sunday for the first time since he experienced forearm tightness earlier in spring training. Bello is set to throw 20 pitches in a bullpen session on Sunday. The Red Sox took precaution and shut down the 23-year-old for a week after he complained of forearm tightness, but he's resuming his throwing program now. It doesn't sound like his injury is very serious, although further setbacks could put him in jeopardy of not being ready for Opening Day at the end of March. Bello unsurprisingly had his ups and downs in his first big-league season in 2022, but he's competing for a rotation spot this spring and has plenty of long-term appeal for fantasy managers.
