Braelon Allen Steps Into a Bigger Week 4 Role
New York Jets running back Braelon Allen gets his first real chance to lead the backfield Sunday with Breece Hall (quad) ruled out. Allen has only 61 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries through three games, but those numbers came while working behind Hall. The opportunity changes this week. Allen took the majority of the practice reps, while Isaiah Davis is also expected to see more work, so this shouldn't automatically be treated as a one-back setup. Still, Chicago has allowed 351 rushing yards and 5.1 yards per carry, which is a much friendlier spot than Allen could have asked for. RotoBaller has him at RB22 in its Saturday rankings. The committee risk is real, but Allen has enough projected work to be used as an RB2 or flex.

Geno Smith Has Streaming Appeal in Week 4
New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith earned his way back onto the streaming radar with 321 yards and three touchdowns against Detroit. He completed 31 of 37 passes in that game and now has 783 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions through three weeks. The protection remains the part that can wreck the day. Smith was sacked five times by Detroit and has gone down nine times this season. Chicago just forced three turnovers while holding Philadelphia to seven points, so another clean 300-yard performance isn't something to assume. RotoBaller has Smith at QB19 for Week 4. He's playable if you're streaming the position and an easy Superflex start, but the offensive-line issues keep him outside the group of quarterbacks fantasy managers should feel obligated to use.

Buffalo Bills D/ST Draws One of Week 4's Better Matchups
Buffalo Bills D/ST gets exactly the kind of opponent fantasy managers like to target. New England is averaging 12.0 points per game, has committed eight turnovers, and has allowed three sacks in each of its first three contests. Drake Maye has thrown six interceptions already. Buffalo hasn't been dominant on defense, but the Bills have nine sacks and the matchup creates plenty of chances for the pressure plays and turnovers that matter in fantasy. Cornerback Christian Benford (toe) is questionable after missing practice all week, so there is still a notable injury to monitor. Even with that concern, RotoBaller moved Buffalo up to D/ST6 in Saturday's rankings. This is one of the better fantasy spots on the Week 4 board.

Tyler Bass More of a Streaming Choice in Week 4
Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass has made all four of his field-goal attempts this season and 11 of 12 extra points, but the Bills' ability to finish drives has limited his field-goal volume. Buffalo is averaging 33.7 points per game, so there will almost always be scoring opportunities attached to this offense. The question is how many come in threes instead of sevens. New England has allowed only 17.0 points per game through three weeks, which could create a few more stalled drives than Buffalo usually sees. RotoBaller's Saturday rankings have Bass at K16. He's perfectly usable in deeper leagues, but that ranking reflects the reality that there are stronger streaming choices in a standard one-kicker format.

Keon Coleman Still a Risky Week 4 Play
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (ankle) is expected to play Sunday after the injury cost him Wednesday's practice. Coleman was limited Thursday and Friday, but Buffalo did not give him a game designation, and head coach Joe Brady said he would be ready for the Patriots. That removes the availability concern, not the fantasy one. Coleman has eight catches for 101 yards through three games and managed only one reception last week, albeit for 37 yards. The flashes are still there, but dependable volume hasn't followed yet. RotoBaller has him at WR70 for Week 4. With DJ Moore healthy enough to play and Dalton Kincaid commanding a steady role, Coleman remains difficult to trust outside deeper formats even though the ankle shouldn't keep him off the field.

Khalil Shakir Is Getting Tougher to Use
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir has become a tough player to squeeze into fantasy lineups. He caught one pass for six yards against the Chargers and sits at eight receptions for 94 yards through three games. The Bills offense is moving the ball, but that hasn't produced enough weekly volume for Shakir with DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid more involved. New England has allowed only 510 passing yards so far, which doesn't make this an obvious rebound spot either. Shakir is WR53 in RotoBaller's Week 4 rankings. There will be weeks when Josh Allen's offense pulls him into fantasy relevance, but the current target and yardage totals aren't strong enough to chase. He's better left on the bench in most standard-sized leagues.

Dalton Kincaid Remains a High-End TE1
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid came back to earth against the Chargers with two catches for 38 yards, but one quiet afternoon shouldn't erase the first two weeks. Kincaid had 225 receiving yards and a touchdown before Week 3 and has caught 14 of 17 targets overall. Buffalo continues to spread the ball around at wide receiver, which has helped Kincaid maintain a meaningful place in the passing game. New England has defended well early, so expecting another huge yardage day would be aggressive. Fantasy managers don't need that from him to justify a start. Kincaid remains TE3 in RotoBaller's weekend rankings and should stay in lineups as one of the stronger tight end options on the slate.

DJ Moore Cleared for Week 4 Matchup
Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) will not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against New England after being limited during the week. That clears up the biggest concern surrounding him. Moore saw 10 targets against the Chargers and caught six for 67 yards, giving him 11 receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown through three games. He has already shown a 100-yard ceiling in this offense, and New England will be without top cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder). The matchup still isn't a layup, but Moore's role matters more. RotoBaller lists him at WR22 for Week 4. With the shoulder no longer putting his availability in question, Moore is a solid WR2 and the Buffalo wideout fantasy managers should feel best about starting.

James Cook III Keeps Rolling Into Week 4
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III has put together back-to-back monster rushing performances. He followed 135 yards against Detroit with 154 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries against the Chargers, bringing him to 346 rushing yards on 58 attempts through three games. That is 6.0 yards per carry, and the workload has been every bit as encouraging as the efficiency. Josh Allen will continue to steal some short-yardage touchdowns, but Cook has handled enough volume for that to be a secondary concern. New England has allowed 325 rushing yards through three games. RotoBaller has Cook at RB7 for Week 4, and there is no reason to get cute with this one. He belongs in lineups as an RB1 again Sunday.

Josh Allen Still Sits Atop the Week 4 Quarterback Board
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen wasn't sharp through the air against the Chargers, finishing with 204 yards and two interceptions, but fantasy managers still got what they needed because he scored twice on the ground. Allen already has six rushing touchdowns through three games to go with 786 passing yards and five passing scores. New England has been one of the better defensive teams early, allowing 17.0 points per game, so this isn't necessarily a blow-up spot. It also doesn't change the decision. Allen's rushing role keeps bailing out ordinary passing days, and Buffalo is still averaging 33.7 points per game. He remains RotoBaller's QB1 for Week 4. There isn't a matchup-based reason to move away from him here.

Terry McLaurin Likely to Miss Week 4 Game vs. Colts
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) is reportedly likely to miss the Week 4 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in London, according to Ben Standig, a Commanders reporter for Last Man Standig Substack. McLaurin showed up on the injury report late this week, as he logged a limited practice session on Friday due to a hamstring issue. He was officially designated as questionable heading into Sunday's game with the Colts. Additionally, the Commanders will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 4. Through three games in 2026, McLaurin has recorded 10 receptions (on 22 targets) for 141 yards (14.1 yards per catch) and a touchdown. If McLaurin is out, Washington will rely on Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown and Treylon Burks at wide receiver.

Commanders Hopeful Jayden Daniels Will Return in Week 5 vs. Giants
Washington Commanders starting quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) could return in a Week 5 matchup against the New York Giants, The Ringer's Tom Pelissero reports. Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow injury in a Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He missed the Week 3 victory over the Seattle Seahawks and has already been ruled out for the Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts. However, Daniels returned to practice this week, logging three limited practice sessions in a row. Daniels appears to be trending in the right direction. Marcus Mariota will remain the starting quarterback for the Commanders while Daniels is out.

Giants D/ST Faces Tough Matchup Against Underrated Cardinals Offense
The New York Giants' defense performed well in harsh conditions against a struggling Tennessee Titans defense in Week 3. They held the Titans to just seven points and forced two turnovers, but the Giants lost a key piece on their defensive line. Edge rusher and 2025 team sack leader Brian Burns (knee) suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the 2026 season. Without Burns and with the loss of defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence in the offseason, the Giants could struggle moving forward. They face a Cardinals offense that scored 26 points against the Chargers in Week 1 and 30 points against the 49ers in Week 3. With quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the Cardinals offense remains underrated, averaging the fifth-most yards in the NFL (371.3). Given their injuries and Arizona's productive offense, fantasy managers should pivot away from the Giants D/ST in Week 4.

Isaiah Likely Looking to Bounce Back Against Cardinals
New York Giants tight end Isaiah Likely is looking to bounce back after a down game in Week 3. He caught just two of five targets for 13 yards in the 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. In two games with backup quarterback Jameis Winston, Likely has caught just seven of 15 targets for 46 yards, averaging just 4.1 half-PPR fantasy points per game. On a positive note, Likely's usage has improved significantly from his Week 1 role, with 77% of snaps and 85% of routes over the last two weeks. He also faces an Arizona Cardinals defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season, including a monster performance against 49ers star tight end George Kittle in Week 3. While his struggles with Winston could pose a threat to his Week 4 outlook, Likely should be considered a low-end TE1 against a weaker Cardinals secondary.

Malachi Fields' Target Volume Lacking Against Cardinals
New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields has hauled in six of 12 targets for 74 yards in three games to start the 2026 season. Despite a crowded training camp, Fields has stepped up as the WR2 in this offense, playing 74% of snaps and running 68% of routes. However, the Giants' offense under offensive coordinator Matt Nagy ranks 28th in pass attempts and 30th in pass rate over expected. With star receiver Malik Nabers and tight end Isaiah Likely dominating the volume in this passing attack, little is left for the rookie receiver. Fields faces an Arizona Cardinals secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. The snaps and matchup are there, but Fields' Week 4 fantasy value will hinge on the Giants' willingness to throw to him against a struggling Cardinals secondary.

Chicago Bears Defense Draws Favorable Week 4 Spot
The Chicago Bears D/ST is an intriguing fantasy stream in Week 4 when they take on the visiting New York Jets. Chicago's defense was a sieve in Week 1, yielding 37 points and nearly 500 total yards (478) on the road to the Panthers. Since then, though, the unit has allowed a mere 16 points combined to the Eagles and Vikings. Quarterback Geno Smith and the Jets have played well so far, ranking thirteenth (329) and seventeenth (21.3) in yards and points per game, respectively. That said, New York will be without its RB1 in Breece Hall (quad), and also missing wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger) and tight end Mason Taylor (thumb) - softening the outlook of what's been a capable offense. There is some risk here, but owners in a pinch for a high-upside stream can look to Chicago in an advantageous spot. The unit ranks as RotoBaller's D/ST8 for Week 4.

Baker Mayfield to Have Stitches Removed Monday
Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) is scheduled to have stitches removed from his thumb on Monday, according to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer. Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb injury in a Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles recently said that Mayfield is expected to miss a "minimum of three weeks," but Pelissero noted that Mayfield is pushing to beat that timeline and could potentially be targeting a Week 6 return against the Pittsburgh Steelers. ESPN's Jenna Laine reported that Mayfield avoided damage to the ligament and tendon in his thumb. While Mayfield is out, Jalon Daniels is expected to start at quarterback for the Buccaneers.

Colston Loveland Still Seeking Breakout
Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland looks to get his season going in Sunday's home matchup with the New York Jets. After three games, the second-year pro is bordering on outright bust territory following a summer when his breakout was heralded as a foregone conclusion. Loveland isn't all to blame, as the Week 1 game script and an injury to starting quarterback Caleb Williams (hamstring) in Week 2 have contributed to his lagging production. However, the concern of too many mouths to feed in Chicago's attack has rung true. Moreover, the emergence of veteran Kalif Raymond is an unaccounted-for added variable that's made the passing pie smaller than initially anticipated. Loveland still looks like an integral part of the Bears' offense. For now, though, fantasy managers can't bank on the lofty preseason expectations once held for the 22-year-old. Owners can treat Loveland as a fringy TE1 and, officially, RotoBaller's PPR TE11 for the game against New York.

Darnell Mooney's Volume a Concern Against Vulnerable Cardinals Secondary
New York Giants wide receiver Darnell Mooney has caught six of eight targets for 95 yards in three full games this season. With a healthy Malik Nabers and tight end Isaiah Likely, Mooney's target volume hasn't been high. In those three games, Matt Nagy's Giants offense ranks 28th in pass attempts and 30th in pass rate over expected, and with backup quarterback Jameis Winston in the lineup, the team may lean even more on the run. Mooney faces an Arizona Cardinals secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. With Cardinals cornerbacks Will Johnson (neck) and Garrett Williams (achilles) ruled out and Max Melton (toe) questionable, Mooney and the Giants' receivers should be able to produce. However, the team's run-heavy system and Mooney's lack of targets should keep him out of fantasy lineups despite the favorable matchup.

Rome Odunze a Boom-Bust Week 4 Play
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze is a volatile flex option in this Sunday's home matchup against the New York Jets. Odunze has put a preseason calf issue behind him, but still faces hurdles in the way of targets. Heading into the year, it seemed that this offense would funnel opportunities through Odunze, fellow wideout Luther Burden III, and tight end Colston Loveland in the passing game. Quarterback Caleb Williams' (hamstring) injury aside, it's veteran wide receiver Kalif Raymond standing in the way of Odunze's increased production. As it stands, the third-year pass catcher leads his cohorts in snaps. However, he's very clearly the main downfield threat in the attack, making easier looks harder to come by. Odunze is a talented young receiver, but his current standing in an offense loaded with weapons leaves something to be desired. Despite a tough spot in the Jets this weekend, the 24-year-old lands favorably as RotoBaller's PPR WR38.

Malik Nabers in Position to Explode Against Depleted Cardinals Secondary
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers caught five of six targets for 26 yards in the 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. Amid nasty weather and a run-first Giants offense, Nabers couldn't produce again, as he starts his season slowly. In three games, he has caught 12 of 19 targets for 96 yards, averaging 5.2 half-PPR fantasy points per game, which ranks him as the WR71 on a per-game basis. His struggles with quarterback Jameis Winston are evident, and both are hoping to bounce back against an Arizona Cardinals secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. With Cardinals cornerbacks Will Johnson (neck) and Garrett Williams (achilles) ruled out and Max Melton (toe) questionable, Nabers and the Giants' receivers should be able to produce. As he looks to kick-start his slow start, Nabers is a low-end WR2 with WR1 upside in Week 4.
