Bo Bichette Could Be Back A Week From Now
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (quadriceps) did some running, hitting and fielding of ground balls right at him on Friday, and the hope is that he'll be back within the minimum 10 days on the injured list, according to manager John Schneider. Bichette will be first eligible to return from the IL next Friday, Sept. 8. The 25-year-old was placed on the IL for the second time in the second half of the season with a right-quadriceps strain, but it wasn't too serious. The two-time All-Star is one of the best shortstops in the game when healthy and is a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's on the field. When Bichette returns, Ernie Clement will go back to a bench role for the Blue Jays. Bichette is hitting a strong .314/.344/.488 with an .831 OPS, 18 home runs, 62 RBI, three stolen bases and 54 runs scored in 114 games in 2023.
