Bailey Ober Recalled To Start On Friday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Bailey Ober has been recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to make the start on Friday against the Chicago White Sox in an excellent matchup. Ober was initially sent to the minors so that the Twins could manage his workload, and the 28-year-old ended up making just one appearance for St. Paul. He's thrown 145 1/3 innings between the majors and minors this year after never surpassing 109 frames in a season before in his career. Ober has a nice 3.67 ERA through 22 starts for the Twins in 2023, and he's unsure if he'll be limited at all the rest of the way. Since the All-Star break, he has a rough 5.85 ERA in eight starts, but the matchup against the Pale Hose will be too good to pass up to kick off the weekend.
