Austin Warren Starts Rehab Assignment
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Austin Warren (elbow) has already made multiple appearances on a minor-league rehab assignments in the Arizona Complex League as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. The 28-year-old signed a one-year, $755,000 contract with the Giants on Feb. 14 and could help boost the team's bullpen once he's finally healthy. Warren posted a 3.55 ERA over 32 career appearances for the Los Angeles Angels from 2021 to 2023, also recording a 1.24 WHIP, one save, 10 walks and 31 strikeouts in 38 relief innings pitched. If Warren can avoid any setbacks in the minors during his rehab assignment, he could return to make his 2024 debut for the Giants before the All-Star break in mid-July. He's not on the fantasy radar.
