Aroldis Chapman Records Four-Out Save
7 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone did something for the first time this season and it involved the club’s All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman. Boone called for Chapman in the eighth inning for a four-out save, the first time this year that that’s been asked of him. While a wild pitch advanced a runner into scoring position, the Cuban Missile escaped the eighth with the one-run league intact. Later, he was perfect in the ninth, striking out the final batter he faced. It was Chapman’s 10th save in 11 tries this year, while his ERA now stands at a strong 1.33 on the season.
