New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe, who was No. 15 on MLB Pipeline's top-100 prospect list to end 2021, is projected to be a top-10 prospect entering the 2023 season. He won MLB Pipeline Hitting Prospect of the Year accolades after his first full season as a pro by hitting .294/.423/.604 with 27 home runs and 33 stolen bases in 109 games between Low-A and High-A while leading the minor leagues in runs scored (113) and OPS (1.027) and ranking second in extra-base hits (68). Volpe doesn't stand out physically, but he has a compact right-handed swing and could be a 20-homer threat at the next level if he continues to develop power in the minors.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
