Andrew Vaughn 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Boring Bat, Best Reserved For Deep Leagues
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn performed in line with his career norms in 2024, slashing .246/.297/.402 with 19 home runs, 70 RBI, 55 runs, and two stolen bases in 149 games. His bright spots were a 70th-percentile xSLG of .440 to go along with a 70th-percentile average exit velocity, but those don't show a path to fantasy stardom anytime soon. Vaughn is a very average MLB hitter, translating to a well below-average fantasy option. He will play almost every day for Chicago and accumulate his way to 20 homers and around 130 combined runs and RBI, which will only be helpful in AL-only leagues or very deep standard leagues. ATC projections agree, which predict him to slash .252/.312/.430 with 22 home runs, 77 RBI, and 64 runs. He is still only 26 years old, so there is still time for him to make adjustments. However, it's safe not to bet on that for 2025.
