Aaron Rodgers Injures Calf Tuesday
1 year agoNew York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (calf) clutched at his left calf after throwing an interception in training camp practice on Tuesday. Rodgers was limping around but stayed in for the next play. The future Hall of Famer injured is right calf during organized team activities in the spring. The fact that Rodgers stayed in to finish practice means his calf issue probably isn't very serious, but it could be a sign that his body is beginning to break down at 39 years old. It remains to be seen if the Jets allow Rodgers to rest at some point this week, but this is unlikely to be an injury that will keep him from playing in Week 1 of the regular season. With better weapons around him in his first year not with the Green Bay Packers, he's best drafted as a high-end QB2 in fantasy leagues as he looks to rebound from a career-worst season in 2022.
