I will provide you with the best tools to succeed and the information you need to create the optimal lineups for your GPP and cash game NHL contests on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Today, I'll be bringing you my NHL lineup picks, analysis, and advice for NHL DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at 7:00 PM EDT. Be sure to also check out our awesome NHL tools, including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets!

NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/01/23

Tonight, we have an exciting 5 game slate featuring San Jose, Carolina, Minnesota, and St. Louis, all of whom are playing back-to-back games. We also have the high-flying Devils, led by Jack Hughes, playing at home. The Kings will be in the desert to face the surprising Coyotes, and the Blues will travel to Vancouver after playing in Calgary last night. Let's get after it and see if we can find any edges tonight.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Carter Hart - DK $7.8K || FD $7.9K

Opponent - Buffalo Sabres

Hart has been excellent on home ice this season, winning 3 out of 4 games played with a GAA of 1.50 and a SV% of .945. He has an average of 18.5 fantasy points per game, which is exactly what we want from our goalie. The Flyers have also been doing a great job limiting shots on their home ice this season. Therefore, the save bonus might not be in play. But compared to other goalies on this slate, Hart is the one I feel most comfortable starting.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Oettinger (DK $ 8.0DK || FD 8.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Sean Couturier- DK $4.8K || FD $5.3K

Opponent - Bufallo Sabres

Couturier is priced as the 10th center on this slate, which is a huge mistake. He has been playing at a high level and his return to the Flyers lineup has been a big reason for their competitiveness again. Especially on home ice, where he has scored 2 goals, 5 assists, and taken 13 shots in 5 games, averaging 13.2 fantasy points. Tonight, he faces the Sabres, a team that ranks near the bottom of the league in all key defensive metrics, making them an easy target for Couturier. If you are planning to stack Dallas or Colorado, I suggest considering Couturier as a valuable option as your second center for tonight's game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Wyatt Johnston (DK $3.9K || FD $5.2K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Valerie Nichushkin - DK $4.8K || FD $6.1K (Nichushkin has moved to the second line, switch to Lekhonen if you can)

Opponent - St.Louis Blues

I think Nishushkin, who is playing on the top line with Mackinnon, is undervalued, especially on Draft Kings. Despite having just one goal this season, he has put up 7 shots in his last three games, indicating that he is in top form. Although Binnginton has been performing well this season, the Blues tend to give up a lot of shots and chances while playing on the road. Against a team like the AVs, this could spell trouble. Furthermore, the AVs have the best home PP unit this season, which is a huge advantage for them.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Benn (DK $5.2K || FD $6.0K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Sean Durzi- DK $6.0K || FD $6.2K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

Mr. Durzi has had an exceptional start to this season, proving that the Kings made a huge mistake. In the first eight games, he has scored 4 goals, provided 3 assists, 21 shots, and blocked 14 shots, earning an average of 13.5 fantasy points. I believe this is his floor tonight against the Ducks, who will be playing their fifth game in seven days. Furthermore, the Ducks will be playing their first home game after an east coast road trip, where they had a perfect record of 4-0. They are one of the surprise teams of the season, so the upcoming game should be fun.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Sanheim (DK $5.3K || FD $6.3K)
  • Byram (DK $3.5K || FD $4.2K)
