We're on to week 6, RotoBallers, and we're here to guide you through the sixth week of the season and find the sneakiest sleeper values to help you take down your favorite contest. If you're playing cash games, you don't have to have the top QB or RB of the week. But in Guaranteed Prize Pool's (GPP's)? The best way to go is to focus on players with the highest potential upside for their DFS price.

This article will run every week throughout the regular season. It won't include the obvious choices but instead players who appear to be undervalued in current DFS formats. As the values currently sit, players will qualify as a value in DFS (based on DraftKings salaries) for this article if they are a quarterback in the 5k range, running backs who are 6k or less, wide receivers at 5.5k and under, and 4k or less for tight ends. When it comes to tournaments, stacking our quarterback with one of their pass catchers is a must.

It's crucial to prioritize players with higher guaranteed floors and consistency to increase our chances of winning cash games. No matter which game you choose, these picks will come in handy. So, without further ado, let's dive in!

Quarterback NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 6

Sam Howell, WSH @ ATL | DK: $5,500, FD: $7,000

Howell is a great value pick against the Falcons in Atlanta in Week 6. Even with the Commanders' loss at home against the Bears last week had a career-best performance, and the Falcons have a weak secondary. Additionally, the Falcons have been one of the worst home teams in the NFL in recent years.

Howell is a second-year quarterback who is still learning the ropes, and he has been sacked a league-high 29 times this season. There is a bit of risk, but against Atlanta, win or lose, he's going to get you there.

Derek Carr,  NO @ HOU | DK: $5,300, FD: $6,600

Carr has a pretty good record against the Texans, going 9-5 with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The Texans also have a terrible pass defense, ranking 31st in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game. To top it all off, Carr has a new offensive coordinator in Pete Carmichael, who is known for his passing game. Carmichael was the offensive coordinator for the Saints from 2009 to 2021, and during that time, the Saints had one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.

Carr is a great option if you're looking for a high-upside QB to start in Week 6. He has the talent to put up big numbers, and he's playing against a team with a weak pass defense and a new offensive coordinator who knows how to get the most out of his quarterbacks.

 

Running Back NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 6

Brian Robinson, Jr.,  WSH @ ATL | DK: $5,700, FD: $6,700

The Falcons have been giving up an average of 104.4 rushing yards per game, on the high end and 15th in the league. So, even though no one running back has rushed for more than 100 yards in a game against the Falcons this season, Robinson is set up to get a lot of carries and could have a good game. He's been running well this season, with at least 60 yards in four of his five games, and he's also a good receiver, averaging 3.6 catches per game.

Rachaad White, TB vs. DET | DK: $5,500, FD: $6,300

Over the past few weeks, White's been getting around 15 carries per game, and he's also been catching passes. He's a versatile player who can cause a lot of trouble for opposing defenses.

The Lions are allowing over 120 rushing yards per game and have given up at least one rushing touchdown in every game but one. They are also one of the worst teams in the league at defending the pass, which could open up even more opportunities for White in the receiving game. All signs point to White having a great fantasy week in Week 6. Fire him up!

Dameon Pierce, HOU vs. NO | DK: $5,400, FD: $5,900

Pierce is a great value choice at running back this week versus the Saints. He's had over 20 touches in each of the past two games, and he's averaging 2.3 yards after contact. He's also scored two rushing touchdowns in the past two weeks. Pierce is a physical runner who breaks tackles and runs through contact. The Saints have a tough run defense, but they haven't faced a back like Pierce yet. He's a value option in Week 6 with the potential to put up a solid fantasy performance.

Wide Receiver NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 6

Marquise Brown, ARI vs CIN | DK: $5,300, FD: $6,400

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown has been performing exceptionally well this season. He has caught 25 out of his 42 targets, accumulating 300 yards and scoring three touchdowns. He's also become Dobbs' most reliable receiving option and has consistently scored at least 16.1 PPR points in his last four games..

Over the past two full seasons, Brown's average air yards per game would have ranked him inside the top 10. Additionally, his average yards per route run and targets per route run would have both been in the top 30 in both seasons among receivers with at least 50 targets. Brown is an excellent value wide receiver and would make a great addition to your lineups this week.

K.J. Osborn, MIN @ CHI | DK: $4,400, FD: $6,200

With Justin Jefferson out due to injury, Osborn is expected to get more targets in the upcoming game. It is also worth noting that Minnesota leads the league with an average of 40.8 pass attempts per game. He's not the top receiver on the Vikings' team, but he's been a starter, has a good connection with quarterback Kirk Cousins, and is a great value pick this week.

Michael Thomas, NO @ HOU | DK: $4,900, FD: $5,900

Thomas' price on DraftKings is simply too low. Thomas is currently ranked 52nd in his position and 124th overall in the NFL, with a total of 28.4 fantasy points (5.7 per game). Over the past three games, he has had 14 receptions on 22 targets, amounting to 168 yards and a total of 16.8 fantasy points (5.6 per game). In last week's game against the New England Patriots, Michael Thomas had his best performance of the season with 6.5 fantasy points, thanks to four receptions and 65 yards. Thomas is a great value this week and one I'll be adding to my lineups this weekend.

 

Tight End NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 6

Jake Ferguson, PHI @ LAR | DK: $3,900, FD: $5,100

Ferguson fits the team's new offensive strategy well and is second in targets per route run among tight ends. He's reliable, has high touchdown potential, and is skilled at catching the ball and blocking. In his two seasons with the Cowboys, he has 39 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns. Last season, he had 57 catches for 577 yards and five touchdowns, while in 2021, he achieved career highs in receptions (78), receiving yards (808), and touchdowns (eight). At $3,900, he's a great value pick at the tight-end spot.

Zach Ertz, ARI vs CIN | DK: $3,600, FD: $5,200

During week four, Ertz was targeted 10 times and managed to catch six receptions for 53 yards. He has had three games this season where he recorded at least six catches and eight targets. In the past three games, the Bengals have allowed three tight ends to score at least 10.6 PPR points. In my previous article, I recommended Ertz as a value pick and predicted that he would have a breakout game soon. I still believe that he is a great value at $3,600 on DraftKings.
