The Daily NBA Fantasy Shopper: NBA Expert Picks for DraftStreet - 11/27/2013

For Thanksgiving Eve, we will continue to search for low-cost injury replacements as some of our solid options for today’s daily NBA leagues.  You need to find those underpriced gems to really dominate your matchups, so let's see what's on tap for us for Wednesday's NBA games:

Damian Lillard

PG: Damian Lillard ($14,827): The Blazers are rolling as a team, and their point guard is a huge part of their success.  Lillard is averaging 20 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds a game this year, and has scored over 19 in six straight.  Tonight he plays a Phoenix team that limited him to 11 points in their last meeting, but with a hobbled Eric Bledsoe, the Suns will likely struggle to slow Lillard down.  Another 20-point 8-assist night is likely in the cards.

SG: Martell Webster ($11,633): Webster has taken advantage of injuries this year, first filling in for Trevor Ariza and now Bradley Beal.  With Beal out with a stress fracture, Webster started at shooting guard last night and had a huge 20-point, 9-rebound, and 4-steal night.  He will face a solid defensive guard in O.J. Mayo tonight, but with Washington having so few scoring options, Webster should be able to fill up the stat sheet again.

SF: Luol Deng ($13,833): The main beneficiary of Derrick Rose’s injury seems to be Deng.  He will now be asked to be a big-time playmaker for a team that is missing both Rose and Jimmy Butler.  Not only has Deng been scoring at a good clip (22 and 24 points in his last two games), but he has also been hitting the boards incredibly hard.  In his past four games he has 39 rebounds, and has only been under 5 rebounds one time is his last nine games.  The Pistons give up 100 points a game on 47% opponent field-goal percentage, so this matchup is ripe for the picking.

PF: Carmelo Anthony ($18,663): Anthony is without a doubt the hottest player in the league.  His past seven games have seen him go over 23 points seven times.  He is also rebounding at a career-best clip, pulling down 10.2 a game, including over 10 in five of his past six games.  A matchup against the Clippers and their poor defense should do nothing to cool off Carmelo.

C: J.J Hickson ($12,405): In Denver, the injury to JaVale McGee has opened up a ton of playing time for Hickson, who has taken advantage in a big way.  His last game saw him post a season-high 22 points against Dallas, and four games ago he set a season-high with 19 rebounds against Oklahoma City.  Hickson is an undersized center, but tonight he gets to face one of the worst defensive front lines in the NBA in the Wolves.  In his last game against Minnesota, he put up 12 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block; it would not be much of a stretch to think he could repeat that performance tonight.

U: Daniel Orton ($7,425): Orton was part of the famed Kentucky draft class that included John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe. However, he has never been able to carve out enough playing time to be a solid contributor.  With Spencer Hawes out with a knee injury and Thaddeus Young gone for personal reasons, Orton got the start upfront for the Sixers and posted a solid 10-point, 10-rebound, 2-block double-double in his last game.  With Hawes still questionable and Young not yet back with the team, Orton may be in line for another night of big minutes.  A chance to show his old team in Orlando what they gave up on might also be the cue for a big night at a cheap price.

U: Glen Davis ($9,970): Just three games into his season, Davis got his first start of the year last night against Atlanta.  He was only able to produce 8 points and 6 rebounds, but he was given big minutes as Tobias Harris was unable to play.  In his first game back he did post 20 points, and prior to getting injured last year he was a very productive player.  If Harris is out again, Davis should be in for huge minutes which could lead to a big night.

Whoever you select, good luck with your Wednesday DraftStreet and Fanduel Daily League Fantasy Basketball selections!
