The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Würth 400 on Sunday afternoon.
The 38-car field was split into two groups for practice.
Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.
Important Practice Notes
Austin Dillon - Within the first couple of laps, Austin Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet had an engine failure, forcing the team to get to work putting in a backup engine. Dillon won't be able to qualify for the race and will start from the rear.
Bubba Wallace - Late in the session for the first group, Bubba Wallace's No. 23 Toyota spun and he backed it into the wall. The team will probably get the backup car out. Wallace will not qualify and will start from the rear.
Bubba Wallace said he believes they will have to go to a backup car.

Daniel Suarez - In the final minutes of practice, Daniel Suarez's No. 7 Chevrolet suffered a flat tire and had to be towed back to pit road. However, the team declined the tow (in order to avoid damage to the diffuser) and Suarez instead reversed his car to pit road.
