MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Corbin Burnes OVER 7.5 strikeouts (+120 Caesars Sportsbook)
Burnes finished the 2021 campaign with a total of 234 strikeouts across just 167 innings pitched. He also faced the Cubs total of three times in 2021 and managed to strike out 36 batters across 20 innings pitched. The matchup could not be much better in this one as the Cubs also led baseball with a K rate of 27.1% against right-handers in 2021.
Shane Bieber UNDER 6.5 strikeouts (-130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
This boils down to the fact that Bieber likely does not go deep enough in this one to strike out seven ROyals as he missed a large portion of 2021 and has also only gone as deep as 3 1/3 innings pitched in his last start on April 2nd. The Royals also ranked fourth-best in baseball in 2021 with a K rate of just 21.6% against right-handed pitchers.
Yu Darvish OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-120 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Darvish completed 2021 with 199 strikeouts across 166 innings pitched. He is fresh off a four-inning start this spring and should be able to go deep enough in this game to rack up six or more strikeouts. This is a Diamondbacks' team that ranked seventh-worst in baseball in 2021 with a K rate of 24.7% against right-handed pitching.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Wil Myers over .5 home runs (+400 Draftkings Sportsbook)
This is a fa bit risky, but definitely has some value with +400 on the table. Myers posted an .828 OPS vs. lefties in 2021 and should be in a solid spot in this one against Madison Bumgarner. Over his career, Myers has smacked six bombs off MadBum across 56 at-bats and has also posted a .975 OPS.
Manny Machado over 1.5 hits (+165 Caesars Sportsbook)
You will notice a theme throughout the season as it pertains to hitter props and that is we are trying to get some + value on the props that we play. Machado has a solid matchup in this game as he will be going up against Madison Bumgarner who allowed a .256 BAA with 17 home runs to right-handed hitters in 2021. Machado hit left-handed pitchers to the tune of a .799 OPS in 2021 as well. Once MadBum is finished, Machado should be able to feast on a DBacks pen that ranked dead last in all of baseball in 2021 with a 1.52 WHIP.
