Mike Williams is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Drop
ROSTERED IN: 24% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Williams wasn't targeted in the team's 18-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, and he reminded us of one thing -- shame on us for ever trusting Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to change his offensive philosophy.

The Steelers ran the ball 34 times on Sunday. While quarterback Russell Wilson attempted 36 passes, Smith has never been trustworthy in engineering a consistently good passing game. There will likely be no relevant receivers other than lead WR George Pickens.
Williams did see an uptick in snaps, but Pittsburgh's defense shut down the best offense in the NFL. Smith's offense compliments the defense very well -- run the ball, run the clock down, play as little football as humanly possible, and let the defense rest plenty. They'll do the rest of the work for him.
Williams brings a nice vertical threat to the offense. But Pittsburgh's upcoming schedule isn't encouraging. They face a slew of teams with bad offenses (you can run the ball against them) and bad run defenses (guess what, you can run the ball against them, too). It's not great.
