Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups Nolan Schanuel, Masyn Winn, Paul Blackburn, Seiya Suzuki, more

Nolan Schanuel - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB News

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 23 (2023). Free agent hitters and pitchers to add include Masyn Winn, Nolan Schanuel, Paul Blackburn, Seiya Suzuki, and Noelvi Marte.

Welcome RotoBallers to our mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings list for Week 23 - August 21 through August 27  to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. Some notable prospect notes include the Dodgers promoting outfield prospect Michael Busch on Tuesday. The Cardinals promoted Masyn Winn, while the Angels called up Nolan Schanuel last week. Busch is 0-for-3 with two strikeouts since being recalled. Schanuel is hitting .368 (7-for-19) with an RBI and seven walks, while Winn is hitting .217 (5-for-23) with a double and a stolen bases over six games. San Francisco Giants top pitching prospect Kyle Harrison allowed two runs on five hits while striking out five over 3 1/3 innings in his MLB debut. Top prospects such as Pete Crow-Armstrong, Ceddanne Rafaela, Jordan Lawlar, Colt Keith, Matt Mervis, and Robert Gasser patiently await the call to the big leagues.

Some notable recent performances include Oakland A's right-hander Paul Blackburn, who owns a 2.19 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 24:9 K: BB across 24 2/3 innings since the calendar turned August. Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki is hitting .450 (9-for-20) with two home runs, three RBI, and seven runs scored over his last six games. Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler is slashing .282/.349/.538 with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs over his last 11 contests.

Injuries are piling up as Los Angeles Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (elbow) has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow and won't pitch again this season. More bad news for the Angels, All-Star outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) is going back on the injured list and won't do any baseball activities for the next 10 days. Kenley Jansen (hamstring), Yordan Alvarez (finger), Stone Garrett (leg), and Sal Felick (hamstring) are considered day-to-day.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Spencer Torkelson, Seiya Suzuki, Masyn Winn, Kyle Harrison, Michael Busch, Nolan Schanuel, Cole Ragans, Nolan Jones, Paul Blackburn, Logan O'Hoppe, Noelvi Marte, Matt Wallner, Zack Gelof, Javier Assad rank among others. Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone who isn't familiar, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free agent adds off waivers.

In addition to that, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver wire moves or multiple waiver wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

Below you will see our list of waiver wire pickups in our prioritized order. There should be waiver wire recommendations here for all sorts of league sizes, along with the position(s) for the player and the rostered percentages.
