Key Fantasy Starters and Tough Calls - Lineup Spotlights and Betting Tips for Week 11

Jeff Wilson Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Scott Engel provides Week 11 fantasy football lineups analysis, spotlighting key NFL players to start and tougher lineup start/sit decisions to make. He also adds some betting tips.

Below you will find some of my spotlight choices and players to go with when dealing with challenging lineup decisions in Week 11. These selections are based on my Premium Weekly Lineup Rankings, available as part of the RotoBaller NFL Premium Pass. Skill position analysis here is based on my PPR rankings.

We now add in some betting tips, as many of the recommendations here naturally work into some prime player props. Plus, I also share some over/under, ATS, and money line picks for selected games. All odds and prop plays are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Running Backs

-Antonio Gibson rushed for 64 yards and two TDs in Week 10, his fourth career game with two TDs. It was an impressive outing against the Tampa Bay run defense, and now he faces the Panthers, who are fourth best in terms of Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to RBs. Gibson carried 24 times last week, which was another encouraging sign. But now he is playing on a regular schedule and must show again that he is not feeling any major lingering effects of his shin issue. This will be a very telling week for Gibson, and you still may want to opt for another alternative in any close decisions involving him.

Betting Tip: I am going with Carolina -3.5 at +100. Washington is going to fall flat after the big upset win over Tampa Bay, and Carolina will ride high in Cam Newton’s return to the starting lineup in front of the home crowd.

-D'Andre Swift leads all RBs with 50 receptions. He has 510 scrimmage yards (102 per game) in five road games this season and is aiming for his fourth game in a row on the road with 100-plus scrimmage yards. There is some natural concern that Jared Goff being out could hurt Swift’s output. Even with Goff in the lineup, though, Detroit’s offense has still ranked 31st in the league. Swift has produced well with bad offense all around him throughout the season and his outlook is not going to be significantly affected by a QB change. Swift has admirably delivered the goods with a lack of playmakers around him this year, so continue to start him with confidence.

Betting Tip: Take Swift Over 37.5 receiving yards at -110.

-Jeff Wilson Jr. is fully ready to start in place of Elijah Mitchell and is a very good RB2 option. “Jeff plays with so much energy. The way you see him in games is exactly how he is in practice,” Kyle Shananan said, via the San Jose Mercury News. “Our team feeds off him a ton.” Wilson should not be started over a more highly proven RB with established volume, but he is a fine fill-in play or a great option over another RB2 who has an uncertain workload or outlook. Wilson is a good goal-line runner who rushed for seven TDs last season and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. He averaged just 10.5 attempts per game, so he looks like a promising start with an expanded workload this week.

Betting Tip: Take Wilson +450 to score two-plus TDs vs. Jacksonville. The Jaguars have allowed nine rushing TDs to RBs.

-Myles Gaskin has 50-plus scrimmage yards in three of his past four games. He had 126 scrimmage yards (91 rushing) in his last game vs. the Jets (10/18/20). Not only do the Jets allow the most Fantasy Points Per Game to running backs, they have also allowed an NFL-high 17 rushing TDs to RBs. Gaskin has been very unreliable this season, but this is a matchup to take advantage of by starting Gaskin in a flex spot.

Betting Tip: If you are feeling frisky, take the Jets on the money line at +155. Even with Joe Flacco at QB, they may fight hard against their top rivals.

Wide Receivers

-Tyler Lockett has five-plus catches and 50-plus receiving yards in three of his past four home games. He had nine catches for 67 yards and a TD catch in his last meeting with Arizona and has scored in each of his last two games vs. the Cardinals. Russell Wilson should fare better this week in his second game back from the first injury layoff of his career, so start Lockett with expectations for at least respectable production.

Betting Tip:  Take Lockett Over 57.5 receiving yards at -115.

-D.J. Moore has five-plus receptions in six of his last seven home games. Moore has been very disappointing recently. But this is a guy who had two 1,100-plus yard seasons in the past two years while dealing with very shaky QB play. He also has previous experience working with projected starter Cam Newton. Washington allows the second-most FFPG to WRs. This will be a rebound week for Moore.

Betting Tip: Go with the Panthers to win by seven to 12 points at +450.

-Darnell Mooney had his second TD of the season and his first career rushing TD in Week 9. He is aiming for his sixth game in a row at home with five-plus receptions. Justin Fields passed for 291 yards in Week 9 and the Ravens have the lowest-ranked pass defense in the NFL. Fields must be able to get rid of the ball quickly, and he will have a matchup to take advantage of. Mooney is emerging as his top playmaker and is a viable WR starter.

Betting Tip: Take Mooney over 50.5 receiving yards at -115.

-Brandin Cooks aims for his fifth game in a row with five-plus catches and his third in a row with 50-plus receiving yards. He had 11 catches for 166 yards and two TDs in his season finale vs. Tennessee last season. Tyrod Taylor should play at a more respectable level this week and Tennessee allows the most FFPG to WRs. Cook is a very good play in DFS this week, too.

Betting Tip: Take the Texans +10 at -110, as they should be to stick close enough vs. a divisional opponent that is also missing key pieces on offense.

Quarterback

-Tua Tagovailoa aims for this third game in a row with a rushing TD. He has a 70-plus completion percentage, 285-plus passing yards and two-plus TD passes in two of his past three starts. Over the last four weeks, the Jets have allowed an NFL-high 10 TD passes to QBs. Tagovailoa is a very good streaming option for Week 11.

Betting Tip: Take the Over of 44.5. The Dolphins will score three TDs and the Jets will stay surprisingly close.

Tight End

-Dalton Schultz has seven catches for 79 yards in his last three games and has not scored in his last five games. But with Amari Cooper out, and CeeDee Lamb drawing a lot of defensive attention, look for Schultz to have his best outing since Oct. 17, when he caught five passes for 79 yards. Start Schultz this week if you need a streaming TE option.

Betting Tip: Take both teams to score over 30 points in Cowboys-Chiefs at +255.
