Jaylen Warren's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 17 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jaylen Warren for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit In 12-Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3 with low-end RB2 upside
ANALYSIS: Jaylen Warren gets a great matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this week. Not only are they allowing the 6th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season, but LB Jordyn Brooks is out for this game. That should make things a little easier for the Pittsburgh rushing attack.
Najee Harris (knee) doesn't have an official injury designation for Week 17, but his snaps have trended down the last two games, while Warren's have been on the rise. Warren has played an average of 60% of the snaps in the last three games and has been extremely active in the passing game. He's had 5+ targets in those games with a route participation rate north of 55% in the last two (per PlayerProfiler).
Despite the growing opportunity in the passing game and a solid matchup, Warren is just +230 to score a touchdown today on FanDuel Sportsbook. In fact, he hasn't found pay dirt in his last five games, which lowers his ceiling quite a bit given he's splitting work with Harris every week. Also, the Steelers have an implied point total of just 18.5 points vs. the Seahawks.
If you're looking for an 8-10-point floor, Warren is your guy, but if you need a chance at 20+, it might behoove you to look elsewhere in Week 17.
