BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 21% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Green Bay Packers have an issue at wide receiver. Christian Watson, the presumed starter this year, has gone over 37 receiving yards just once all season. Romeo Doubs has gone over that mark just twice, but he's at least added six touchdowns.
Enter rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed, who currently leads the Packers in receiving yards with 417. Of those, 84 came against the Steelers this week as Reed caught all five of his targets and found the end zone in the 23-19 loss.
Reed has played at least half of Green Bay's offensive snaps in all but one game this season and definitely passes the eye test when it comes to who's playing the best among the Packers' wide receivers.
That doesn't necessarily mean he's a top waiver wire add, as the Packers offense has had some issues this year. The team is averaging the 10th-fewest passing yards and seventh-fewest completed passes in the NFL. Fantasy managers can't really feel great about rostering a player who is splitting targets in a low-volume offense like this.
Despite that serious concern, Reed is worth adding in 12-team leagues. His recent play suggests that he can start to carve out a larger role in this offense and go from one of a handful of options to being first or second in the pecking order, especially if Christian Watson continues to struggle the way he has all season long.
