Javonte Williams' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 17 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Javonte Williams for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12-team leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3
ANALYSIS: Javonte Williams has struggled this season. Despite 14 touches each of the past two games, he's averaged just 19.5 total yards per game in those games. He's found the end zone just four times this season on 239 total opportunities.
Williams is averaging a career-low 3.63 yards per carry this season and has seen his snap share decrease significantly in the last two games. In Week 15 he played 48% of the snaps, and in Week 16 he played just 39% of the snaps.
Both of those games resulted in a loss, but the Broncos aren't exactly on top of the world right now. Russell Wilson has been benched, Courtland Sutton is out, and both Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims are questionable to play in Week 17. The point is, the Broncos could struggle to move the ball on offense, which would affect Williams.
Per PlayerProfiler, Williams' route participation has decreased in each of the last three games, culminating in just a 7.1% route participation rate in Week 16. That doesn't bode well for his opportunities in what could be a low-scoring slugfest in Denver.
Consider guys like Ty Chandler, Devin Singletary, and Chuba Hubbard over Javonte Williams in Week 17.
