Jameson Williams's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jameson Williams for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 16+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams missed the first four games this year after violating the NFL’s Gambling Policy in the offseason. The young wide receiver hasn’t had an ideal start to his NFL career, missing most of his rookie year recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in college.
Williams is only the WR85 for the season, averaging 5.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The wide receiver has shown potential in 2023. He has had three touchdowns this year, including a rushing score two weeks ago against the New Orleans Saints.
While his long-term future is still bright, fantasy players can drop Williams from their redraft league rosters. The wide receiver has scored more than 6.1 fantasy points in only a third of the contests this season. Last week, he had zero receptions and only 0.4 fantasy points.
Tonight, Williams faces a Denver Broncos secondary that has played well in 2023. They have held wide receivers to 24.2 fantasy points per game, the sixth-fewest in the NFL. Wide receivers have only one receiving touchdown against Denver over the past seven weeks.
Fantasy players should avoid starting any Detroit wide receiver other than Amon-Ra St. Brown in this game.
