Isiah Pacheco, Jordan Mason, D'Andre Swift: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 2

Isiah Pacheco - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News

Should I start Isiah Pacheco, Jordan Mason, D'Andre Swift for Week 2? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

It's almost Sunday, and you know what that means! Now that we're in Week 2, fantasy managers need to nail those tough start/sit decisions if they want to have a chance at winning their leagues this year.

Luckily for you, RotoBaller is here to help. Today, we will cover Isiah Pacheco, Jordan Mason, and D'Andre Swift. Mason and Swift had slightly below-average fantasy outings in Week 1, while Pacheco had a terrible week to forget. These three are all looking to have big games to build momentum for the rest of the season.

Without further ado, let's look at my fantasy outlook for each player and determine whether they're worth starting in Week 2 of the 2025 season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Isiah Pacheco in Week 2?

Many, including myself, thought Pacheco would bounce back following an injury-riddled 2024 campaign. However, he got off to an extremely slow start in Week 1, rushing five times for 25 yards. Kareem Hunt wasn't much better either, as he ran for 16 yards on five attempts.

Patrick Mahomes led the team in rushing attempts and yards just like he did during the team's crushing defeat at the Super Bowl a few months ago, but this shouldn't be the norm. Pacheco and Hunt will likely get more touches moving forward.

Pacheco looked better than Hunt in Week 1 (as he should, considering he's almost four years younger and has fewer than a third of Hunt's career touches), but the game against the Eagles is a tough one.

With Xavier Worthy's injury, things could get ugly once again for Kansas City's offense against a dominant Eagles side.

Should I Start Jordan Mason in Week 2?

With over 1,700 career touches, Aaron Jones Sr. is nearing the end of his prime as he moves deeper into his 30s, which is precisely why the Vikings traded for Mason following a promising 2024 season with San Francisco.

Mason led the team in carries in Week 1 and played a crucial part in the team's come-from-behind win with two runs over 15 yards in the fourth quarter. Mason didn't have a standout fantasy performance, but things are looking good for him as he's ready to establish himself as the bellcow in Minnesota.

The Falcons were a respectable rushing defense last year, ranking 15th in the league. Bucky Irving only averaged 2.6 yards per rushing attempt against them in Week 1, but still managed to finish the game with a receiving touchdown.

Jones is more likely to score receiving TDs than Mason, but it's still a favourable situation for the Georgia Tech product.

Should I Start D'Andre Swift in Week 2?

After some solid seasons in Detroit and a Pro Bowl year in Philadelphia, Swift arrived in Chicago with high expectations. He had a decent but slightly disappointing 2024 season, finishing as the RB15 in PPR formats from Week 4 onward.

Swift had an inefficient start to the 2025 season, rushing for just 3.1 yards per attempt. His PPR performance wasn't terrible due to his three catches on five targets for 12 yards, but it was still below-average.

The Lions had the fifth-best rushing defense last year, and despite their loss to the Packers in Week 1, didn't let Josh Jacobs run all over them (66 yards with 3.5 yards per attempt).

It's not an easy matchup for Swift, and he'll hope his offensive line shows up against the Lions, something that they failed to do against the Vikings.

Verdict: Start Mason
