New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor was the 180th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. Taylor had a productive college career, completing 57.2% of his pass attempts for 7,017 yards and 44 touchdowns in four years at Virginia Tech. He also had 501 rushing attempts for 2,196 yards and 23 touchdowns in college.
The former Hokie spent his four years in Baltimore as the backup quarterback. Taylor signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2015 and spent three years as the starter, posting a winning record every year. The veteran quarterback completed 62.6% of his pass attempts for 8,8857 yards and 51 touchdowns in 44 career games with the Bills.
Since leaving Buffalo, the former Virginia Tech star has bounced around the NFL, mostly as a backup quarterback. Taylor has spent the past six years with the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and New York Giants. However, he does have 13 starts over those six years.

Tyrod Taylor Injury Update For Fantasy Football
The veteran quarterback has started the past three games for an injured Daniel Jones. Taylor has played well, totaling at least 200 passing yards twice. He had nearly 280 passing yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Washington Commanders in Week 7.
Unfortunately, the former Virginia Tech star suffered a rib injury early in the Week 8 loss to the New York Jets. Taylor left the game after seven pass attempts and was taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.
Thankfully, the veteran quarterback was discharged from the hospital earlier today. The Giants consider the former Virginia Tech star week to week with the rib injury.
Tyrod Taylor Fantasy Football Outlook
After Taylor left the game against the Jets with a rib injury, Tommy Devito finished the game for the Giants. The third-string quarterback had only two pass completions for negative one yard in the game.
Thankfully, Jones is expected to practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Jones recently was cleared for contact after suffering a neck injury in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins.
Hopefully, New York can get their offense going with Jones under center. The Giants showed some signs of life in Week 7 against the Commanders. However, most teams have productive offensive performances against Washington’s awful defense.
