Impact Fantasy Baseball Prospects Ready To Shine: Junior Caminero, Deyvison De Los Santos, Jackson Holliday

Jackson Holliday - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects

Andy analyzes three top fantasy baseball prospects - Junior Caminero, Deyvison De Los Santos, Jackson Holliday - who could make big impacts this season. These MLB prospects are potential waiver wire pick-ups or stashes.

It's Week 20 of the MLB season, and we have seen several top prospects come up to the major leagues and have a mixed bag of results.

Some prospects like Wyatt Langford and Paul Skenes have shown high upside, while others like Hurston Waldrep only earned a brief taste before returning to the minor leagues to continue their development.

In this piece, we will look at three high-upside bats that have either just returned to the big leagues or knocking on the door. They have shown incredible upside at Triple-A and could be league winners if given a full-time role in the majors.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Junior Caminero - 2B/3B/SS, Tampa Bay Rays

Current Level: Triple-A Durham
Availability: 30% rostered
2024 stats: 48 G, .267/.324/.492, 12 HRs, 31 RBI, 30 R, 1 SB

Since recovering from a quadriceps injury that kept him sidelined since mid-May, the top prospect in Tampa Bay has been on a tear at Triple-A and is on the verge of returning to the big leagues.

In his past 14 games, the 21-year-old has held a .281/.300/.526 line with four home runs, seven RBI, and two doubles. During this span, Caminero has posted five multi-hit performances.

The budding superstar got a brief taste of the majors last summer and held a .235 AVG with a home run across a seven-game stint.

The Rays recently traded starting third baseman Isaac Paredes to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for Christopher Morel and a few prospects. While Morel does have experience at the hot corner over Caminero, his defense has been less than inspiring.

Given his recent power surge at Triple-A and now with the opportunity to start at the hot corner in the big leagues, Caminero could be days away from a call-up.

Deyvison De Los Santos - 3B, Miami Marlins

Current Level: Triple-A Jacksonville and Triple-A Reno
Availability: 7% rostered
2024 AAA stats: 56G, .297/.354/.607, 17 HRs, 53 RBI, 39 R (With both teams)

The slugging third baseman has caught the eye of all fantasy players this summer. He opened the season by getting his second look at Double-A and launched 14 home runs in 38 games.

Then, he moved up to Triple-A where he continued his power surge with 14 long balls in 49 games with a .588 SLG.

De Los Santos was then part of the package that sent A.J. Puk to the desert.

With his new club in Jacksonville, De Los Santos has already gone deep three times in his first seven games.

The 21-year-old should have a great opportunity to get a taste of the big leagues in Miami, given that the team is already focused on 2025 and would like to give their top prospects a chance in the big leagues.

Given his incredible power upside, De Los Santos could be a league winner.

Jackson Holliday - 2B/SS, Baltimore Orioles

Level: Major Leagues
Availability: 75% rostered
2024 stats: 15 G, .173/.246/.308, 2 HRs, 8 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB

The top prospect in baseball has begun to turn the corner in the big leagues. After disappointing in his first taste back in April, he posted a .059 AVG across 10 games with a 2:18 BB:K ratio. Holliday is now riding a .389 AVG in his past five games.

In this stretch, he has gone deep twice and tallied three extra-base hits.

At Triple-A this season, the former first-overall pick held a strong .263/.425/.470 line.

In addition, Holliday has started at the keystone every game in the past week and should continue to have that role as the Baltimore infield has endured a handful of injuries with Jordan Westburg (hand) and Jorge Mateo (elbow) both potentially out for the season.

With Holliday getting more comfortable against big league pitching as time goes on, he is shaping up to be the league winner many projected him to be back in April.
