ANALYSIS: Giovani Bernard took advantage of Joe Mixon's absence last week, rushing 14 times for 30 yards and a score. The 30 yards obviously is not ideal, but Bernard also had three receptions for 13 yards, giving him a nice boost in PPR formats.
With Mixon expected to return next week, Bernard will shift back into his change-of-pace back role. He could see an increase in looks out of the backfield. In PPR leagues, Bernard is worth picking up and placing into the Flex spot. The Lions surrender quite a few yards on the ground this season and also give up quite a few touchdowns. For owners willing to gamble that Bernard can find the end zone against the Lions next week, he is worth a shot.
