FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (11/22/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

Juan Carlos Blanco highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 11/22/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a 10-game Monday night slate on tap, which gives us an abundance of players all across the salary cap to work with, even when factoring in the few notable absences/potential absences that will be in play.

The night appears to be a fairly even mix of potential lopsided contests and competitive affairs, the latter naturally the ideal for DFS purposes. As of Monday morning, four games do have double-digit spreads on FanDuel Sportsbook, but three contests boast projected totals over 220.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/22/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

James Harden, PG – at CLE ($10,100)

Harden has slowly but surely rounded into form this season after a rough start, and he'll enter Monday's matchup against the short-handed Cavaliers backcourt with two full days of rest and fresh off a season-high tally of 69 FD points against the Magic on Friday night. The Beard also posted 52.5 FD points against this same Cavs squad two games ago on the strength of a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Cleveland checks into Monday's contest allowing the second-most FD points per game to PGs (51.6).

Chris Paul, PG – at SA ($9,100)

Paul and his Suns teammates are on their third game in four nights Monday, but the veteran point guard played just 24 minutes in Sunday night's win over the Nuggets. Therefore, Paul should be reasonably refreshed for a favorable matchup against the Spurs, which have allowed 49.1 FD points per game to PGs, placing them in the bottom 10 of the league in that category. Paul had scored between 43.6 and 50.8 FD points in three of the five games prior to Sunday as well, justifying his elevated salary.

D'Angelo Russell, PG – at NOP ($7,400)

Russell is still shooting below his career norms and has undeniably put together some clunkers this season, but he enters Monday's game on a strong stretch of play. The veteran guard has averaged 37.8 FD points over his last eight games while eclipsing 20 points on five occasions over that span. Russell is putting in solid work in rebounds and assists as well and faces a Pelicans team that's allowed 47.7 FD points per game to point guards, along with Western Conference-high offensive efficiency to the position (29.1 percent).

Also consider: Luguentz Dort ($6,400); Marcus Smart ($6,200)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF – vs. ORL ($11,700)

Sure, there's blowout risk in the Magic-Bucks tilt Monday, but Antetokounmpo's recent body of work, including against this same Orlando squad, is too good to pass up. The Greek Freak just put up a massive 32-point, 20-rebound double-double against the Magic on Saturday night that netted 73.5 FD points, and he'd also scored 64.3 and 67.3 over the previous two contests. The Magic are allowing the second-highest offensive efficiency to frontcourt players (86.3 percent), and they've now yielded an NBA-high 56.0 FD points per game to power forwards specifically in the last seven contests.

DeMar DeRozan, SF – vs. IND ($8,600)

DeRozan has flashed one of the safest floors of any player this season, averaging 42.0 FD points per contest and dipping below 30 FD points exactly once on the campaign. The veteran wing draws a highly favorable matchup Monday as well, as the Pacers come in allowing the seventh-most FD points per game to small forwards (43.8), along with the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to the position (23.2 percent). For his part, DeRozan comes in having scored 45.2 to 53.6 FD points in four of his last five games, numbers that make his current salary a potential bargain.

John Collins, PF – vs. OKC ($7,300)

The Thunder's porous frontcourt defense has been one to target all season for DFS purposes, teeing up Collins, who's already playing very well of late, as an excellent mid-salary option. The athletic big man has scored 37.1 to 44.3 FD points in four of his last five games, a stretch during which he's shot 56.9 percent. OKC comes in allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency to power forwards (82.8 percent), along with an NBA-high 51.3 FD points per game to the position. Moreover, the Thunder is giving up the most rebounds per game on the road (59.6), brightening Collins' prospects further.

Also consider: Al Horford ($7,200)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Rudy Gobert – vs. MEM ($8,300)

Much like DeRozan, Gobert has offered an encouragingly safe floor all season, posting less than 33 FD points just once and over 50 on two separate occasions as well. The Stifle Tower meets another pedigreed center in Steven Adams on Monday, but despite the veteran's presence down low, the Grizzlies still check in allowing the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to centers (33.8 percent), along with the third-most FD points per game to fives (58.1). Gobert has averaged a solid 11.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks across 28 minutes in 24 games during which he's faced Adams in his career, and given his performances this year and the latter's own defensive decline, those figures could be in for a notable boost.

Jonas Valanciunas – at MIN ($8,000)

Valanciunas has been a hit thus far in New Orleans and comes into Monday's game averaging 41.2 FD points per contest. The big man has already demonstrated an excellent ceiling for his salary by eclipsing 50 FD points on three occasions, with two of those instances coming against this same T-Wolves squad back in October. Minnesota continues to struggle with centers, allowing 54.9 FD points per game to the position over the last seven, along with the fourth-highest offensive efficiency on the season (35.2 percent).

Clint Capela – vs. OKC ($7,500)

Building on the theme of attacking the Thunder frontcourt, Capela makes for another very good mid-salary Hawks play Monday. OKC has allowed the fifth-highest offensive efficiency to centers (34.9 percent), and the Thunder is also giving up 56.6 FD points per game to the position for the season. What's more, the Thunder has allowed the highest offensive efficiency in the paint in the league (63.3 percent), while Capela is scoring just under 88.0 percent of his points in that part of the floor and should also be in prime position to benefit from OKC's extreme penchant for allowing rebounds on the road that was described earlier in Collins' entry.

Also consider: Andre Drummond ($7,400)
