Many clubs have made big moves this offseason to help bolster their cup chances and chances of getting a European spot for next season. Will we see a new title winner this season or will Liverpool and Manchester City continue to battle it out for the top spot?

The top favorite for this weekend is Brighton & Hove Albion -410 vs Sheffield United +1000. I will guide you through this four-match slate starting at 9:00 A.M. EST.

Odysseys Vlachodimos - DK $4.4K || FD $10

Opponent - West Ham United

With the majority of the field flocking to the ‘cash’ keepers, Vlachodimos offers a chance at value. After a head-scratching error by teammate, Matt Turner, Vlachodimos now has the opportunity to cut into the former’s playing time. In his debut for Nottingham, he didn’t hesitate, making three saves and recording a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over surging Aston Villa. He will have a marginally harder match away at London Stadium, however, West Ham is in the bottom ten in most meaningful metrics and they sit just outside the bottom ten in Goals For Per 90.

EPL DFS Forwards

Ollie Watkins - DK $9.7K || FD $20

Opponent - Fulham

It is no surprise that Ollie Watkins is being featured. The striker is one of the hottest goal scorers on the globe right now with four goals in his last five domestic matches. Furthermore, in that window, he has 3 assists, 17 shots, 9 created chances, 1 tackle, 2 clearances and 1 block. Fulham is not terrible, however, the club isn’t good either. They concede the eighth-most Goals Against Per 90, on fewer shots than most clubs. After losing a heartbreaking 1-0 match at home to Manchester United, expect Watkins and company to deliver the next blow to an underperforming Fulham season.

EPL DFS Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse - DK $8.1K || FD $17

Opponent - Nottingham Forest

There are not many ‘ceiling’ type midfielders if any on the slate for Sunday, which leads to building around safe floors. James Ward-Prowse is exactly that. He plays a similar role to that of Pascal Gross of Brighton & Hove Albion, however, JWP is consistently hitting double-digit fantasy points from peripherals alone. This is quite the feat, considering he is a roaming box-to-box midfielder for West Ham. It is only a matter of time until he starts getting on the score sheet again. The visitors are playing better defense as of late, although, they still struggle away from home. This could be a breakout performance for the midfielder. In Ward-Prowse’s last five domestic performances, he has 5 shots, 15 created chances, 38 crosses, 22 corners, 6 tackles, 4 interceptions, 7 clearances and 1 block.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - DK $6.6K || FD $14

Opponent - Brentford FC

On small slates, it is imperative to have some sort of a ‘cash-semblance’ lineup and Alexander-Arnold fits that puzzle. In his last five fixtures in domestic play – four starts –, he has 9 shots, 8 created chances, 24 crosses, 11 corners, 7 tackles, 5 interceptions and 5 clearances. As the main set-piece taker, Alexander-Arnold will always have a worthy floor thanks to his peripherals and anything past that comes as a bonus.
