DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (4/5/17): NBA DFS Advice

The top DraftKings daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 4/5/17 by Demetri Raftopoulos. Expert NBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings.

Yes, baseball is back. Yes, we're excited. And yes, the NBA season is winding down. But with playoffs approaching, certain players are just getting started.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/5/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @DemetriRafto.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Patty Mills – PG, vs LAL ($4,200)

Patty Mills will never blow you away with his stat lines, but enters a favorable matchup against a Los Angeles Lakers squad that surrenders the most fantasy points to the one spot in the league. Mills has also been playing well over 20 minutes consistently. At his price, we don't need much out of him, while it shouldn't be too hard to reach projection against the Lakers. The Spurs have already secured their place in the postseason, but are still in striking distance of the first overall seed in the Western Conference. The starters could be rested in the event of a blowout, ushering Mills onto the court for an extended role. Mills is also a sneaky threat from behind the arc, even more appealing against a Lakers team that currently owns the fourth highest opponent three point percentage.

Devin Booker – SG, vs GS ($8,000)

Devin Booker has been on quite the scoring tear since his historic 70 point performance against the Boston Celtics late in March. Booker's price continues to rise as he has scored 20-plus in six straight contests. Booker will likely battle against either Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson, making this matchup even more intriguing, despite Golden State's 11 game win streak. Amidst their success, the Warriors have struggled against the two guard the entire season, and allow the most fantasy points to the position in the league. This game should definitely be high-scoring, fast-paced, and one to target on Wednesday.

Also consider: Klay Thompson @ PHO ($7,300)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LeBron James – SF, @BOS ($10,200)

The King is coming off a monstrous triple-double performance (41 points, 16 rebounds, 11 assists) during Cleveland's double-overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers. The defending champions have been struggling of late and have dropped from the top rank in the Eastern Conference, but now head into a matchup against the team they are now looking up at. The Cavs are only a half a game behind the Boston Celtics, making this matchup even more important with only a handful of games left to play before the postseason. LeBron has been an absolute beast against the Celtics this season, averaging 27 points, 11 assists, and 9.3 rebounds over a three game span.

Jared Dudley – PF, vs GS ($4,200)

I'm a big fan of stacking the Golden State/Phoenix game Wednesday night. Dudley is certainly a risk considering he has scored in double-digits only twice over his last 10 games, but has a knack for spreading just enough stats to reach projection. Dudley recently dropped 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds against a Houston Rockets team that plays similarly to the Warriors. The tempo of this game should be just as high. Expect Vegas to give this game a very generous over/under.

Also consider: Kevin Love @ BOS ($7,400)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Clint Capela - C, vs DEN ($5,800)

I'm typically a fan of spending up at the center position, but here are two value options that will be difficult to pass up on Wednesday. Starting with Clint Capela, Houston's big man will have his hands full scoring on and guarding Nikola Jokic; a task he handled admirably in the team's last two meetings. Against the Denver Nuggets earlier in March, Capela dropped 30-plus fantasy points in each, scored double-digits in each, and flirted with a double-double in each. Capela has posted 30-plus fantasy points in six of his last 10 games, and is an affordable tournament option.

Pau Gasol - C, vs LAL ($5,700)

Gasol visits his former team, and has really elevated his game of late. He has been logging minutes well into the high 20's and is coming off a double-double. In three games against the Los Angeles Lakers this season, Gasol is averaging 17.7 points, seven rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Gasol will help free cap space and has reached projection nine times over his last 10 games.
