DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/6/21): MLB DFS Lineups

Jose Ramirez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/6/21. John Brubaker's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Sunday gang! We have a solid 10 game matinee slate, as usual, to close out our weekend. A lot of action requires a lot of research, but luckily we at RotoBaller are here to help you out. Let's begin with the weather.

The biggest chance of rain is in Atlanta. At worst, there may be late start, but other than that, we shouldn't see any issues there. There's potential for bad weather in Kansas City as well, but again I see them playing through without any trouble.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/6/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. It’s also important to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Corbin Burnes - ARI at MIL ($11,000)

Corbin Burnes, after a fantastic 2020 and a hot start in 2021, has cooled down a bit. With that said, however, he's still the best pitcher on the slate. He ranks first on the slate in xFIP, K%, and BB% but quite some margin. I also expect Arizona to run out a bunch of lefties to combat him, which won't do much for them because he's actually better against LHH. He sports a .306 wOBA + ISO against vs. southpaw hitters, as well as a 34% K-rate. You can pivot to Bauer in tournaments (caution: Gerrit Cole and John Means both had below average to bad starts after the MLB began cracking down on the use of foreign substances, and Bauer is another guy who has been speculated of using them), but Burnes is the optimal play here.

Wade Miley - CIN at STL ($7,400)

I know, I cringed when I wrote his name too. Wade Miley has been solid this season, as he ranks fourth on the slate in xFIP (3.71), and ranks first on the slate on average among the batted ball stats. The problem here is that he has no K-upside, but the mid to low tier of pitchers isn't a great one today. I expect Miley to take advantage of a struggling Cardinals lineup and hit value.

Other Options: Sandy Alcantara ($9,500), Vince Velasquez ($8,300), Dane Dunning ($4,900)

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Tucker Barnhart - C, CIN at STL ($3,200)

Barhart is a solid option on today's slate as I believe John Gant has to be due for regression. Despite his 1.60 ERA he has a 5.61 xFIP this season, and Barhart is just too cheap here.

Carlos Santana - 1B, KC vs MIN ($4,100)

Santana has been somewhat thriving in the two-hole for KC this season, averaging 8.2 FPPG. He's logging a .537 wOBA + ISO vs RHP this season and is primed to do well in an excellent matchup against a bottom-of-the-barrel pitcher in Bailey Ober. I really like the Royals today and Santana will be a staple in my lineups.

Jonathan India - 2B, CIN at STL ($3,300)

India hit in the leadoff spot yesterday for Cincy, and it paid off with him going 2-4 with a bomb. I'm a fan of India and what he can do and I think if he leads off again he's a fantastic option at 2B. He did leave the game early with an injury so just make sure he's in the lineup.

Jose Ramirez - 3B, CLE @ BAL ($5,000)

Jorge Lopez is one of my favorite pitchers to stack against over the last few seasons. He's simply not that good, and I feel like J-Ram has to be licking his chops at this matchup. With a whopping .784 wOBA + ISO this season vs. RHP, I fully expect Ramirez to take advantage of this matchup AND the hitter's park in Camden Yards to smash value, even at his price tag.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. - SS, MIA at PIT ($4,700)

First and foremost, this kid is going to be something special. Chisholm is hitting .270 with 7 homers in his (so far) injury-riddled season, and seeing righties well with a .542 wOBA + ISO. It is a steep price to pay, and I can't say with confidence I will be rostering him, but in a ++ matchup with Chad Kuhl I think he's worth consideration.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Whit Merrifield - 2B/OF, KC vs. MIN ($5,300)

What can I say about this guy that most don't already know? Whit has come alive over the last year and a half or so and just gets it done. He's off to a hot start in June so far, going 7-16 with a homer and a pair of stolen bases to boot. He matches up well with Bailey Ober today and he is a must in any Royals stack.

Jesse Winker - OF, CIN at STL ($4,100)

Um, excuse me? How is this dude's price still so low? He's second only to his teammate Nick Castellanos (who is also only $4,100 I might add) in batting average in the Majors and has had a blistering start to this season, logging a .794 wOBA + ISO vs. RHP this season. I actually can't put into words how bananas it is that Winker isn't one of the top-priced outfielders on the slate, but we'll take advantage of that every day of the week and twice on Sundays (see ya in the Turbo!)

Tyrone Taylor - OF, MIL vs. ARI ($2,900)

A bit of a risky play here as we don't even know if Taylor will be starting this afternoon. However, if he is, he's an excellent one-off option on a slate where we'll likely need some salary savers. He matches up well with Caleb Smith who has just been so bad over the last few years. Taylor is coming in today with a .743 wOBA + ISO vs. LHP, and should definitely be considered as a value play.
