DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/20/21): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/20/21. John Brubaker's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Sunday, gang! Hope you've all had a great weekend thus far, now let's make some money to avoid the Sunday Scaries! We have a nine-game (which will likely turn into an eight-game) matinee slate to close out our weekend. The slate is split up between some earlier 1 pm EST starts and a nice five-game mid-afternoon slate after 2 pm EST. Let's take a peek at the weather for this afternoon's slate.

Once again, the biggest chance of rain is in Atlanta. I personally believe the game will likely be canceled as I'm writing this, with thunderstorms sustained throughout the afternoon. I will likely be fading this game and my picks will reflect this.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/20/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. It’s also important to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Sean Manaea - OAK at NYY ($10,100)

Pitching is at a minimum on this slate, with as it stands Manaea being the top option. Manaea has posted nearly a 25% K rate over the last 30 days, coming into a solid matchup against the Yankees. The Yankees have a wOBA + ISO of .373 over the last month and are striking out 29% of the time. They also hit the ball on the ground a ton against southpaws, which plays well into Manaea's 54.5% ground ball rate.

Kenta Maeda - MIN at TEX ($6,300)

Maeda has yet to find his stride this season, and part of that has been his health. Maeda just came off the IL last week, going just four innings allowing one run against the Mariners on Monday. He matches up well at his inexpensive price against the Rangers, who are sporting just a .408 wOBA + ISO and a 25% K rate against right-handed pitchers.

Other Options: Hyun-Jin Ryu($8,900), Dane Dunning ($7,200)

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Kevin Plawecki - C, BOS at KC ($2,300)

A bit of a punt play here, but Plawecki has a lot of value for his cheap price tag. Plawecki faces Mike Minor, who has been decent of late but still has struggled this season against righties. Plawecki boasts a 42.9% hard contact against left-handed pitchers this season and has avoided the strikeout as well.

Anthony Rizzo - 1B, CHC vs MIA ($5,100)

Rizzo matches up well with Zach Thompson, who has a .527 wOBA + ISO against vs. lefties this season. Rizzo has just a 39.8% hard contact rate vs. RHP this season but owns a .531 wOBA + ISO against right-handers. He's been trending over the last few weeks after a somewhat mediocre start to his season.

Luis Arraez - 2B, MIN @ TEX ($3,000)

Truly just a matter of a guy who is too cheap and in the leadoff spot for his team. Arraez has had a hit in every start since his injury, including an RBI triple on Thursday night. He's just too cheap for his spot in the order and the matchup that Minnesota has today.

Matt Chapman - 3B, OAK @ NYY ($4,800)

Matt Chapman is finally heating up after a frustrating first 50 or so games this season, racking up an average of 13.37 DK points over his last eight games. He's logging a 43.8% hard contact rate against lefties this season. Jordan Montgomery has struggled far more against right-handed hitters, as expected, as he carries a .499 wOBA + ISO against vs. righties. He also carries a 38.4% hard contact rate, a +12.6% jump from lefties to righties.

Marcus Semien - 2B/SS, TOR @ BAL ($5,300)

If yesterday was any indication, the Blue Jays have got their swagger back. They look to continue their momentum stemming from their six-run ninth inning yesterday. They'll be facing Matt Harvey, who is a prime guy to attack in stacks. Even as he turns it over to the faulty Orioles bullpen. Semien, like Chappy, also brings in a 43.8% hard contact rate vs. RHP, with a .635 wOBA + ISO.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Mark Canha - OF, OAK @ NYY ($4,700)

Mark Canha has been heating up again, averaging nearly 10 DK points a game over his last six. He has absolutely crushed left-handed pitching this well, bringing in a 52.5% hard contact rate into this one. Expect him to play pepper on one of the Yankee Stadium short porches today.

Cavan Biggio - 3B/OF, TOR @ BAL ($4,400)

Biggio has been on and off this season, but I do like him in this spot. He's been bumped up to the five spot in the order and brings in a 47.1% hard contact rate vs. righties this season, which has bumped up to 66.7% over the last month. His BABIP has also seen a bump of nearly 100 points this month, along with his wOBA + ISO, which has jumped over 400 points.

Ramon Laureano - OF, OAK @ NYY ($3,900)

I really, really hope Ramon plays today. He carries a .718 wOBA + ISO vs. southpaws this season, along with a 44.9% hard contact rate. He's way too cheap on DK and he's averaged over 8 DK points since returning to the Oakland lineup from injury.

DraftKings DFS Stacks

  • Toronto Blue Jays vs. Matt Harvey
  • Oakland Athletics vs. Jordan Montgomery
  • Chicago Cubs vs. Zach Thompson
