DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/29/21)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for 10/29/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

We are back down to two college football games on Friday this week. That's a bit disappointing after the larger slates last week, but we still have some good plays on this slate. Let's see what we have to work with.

We kick this off with Tulsa hosting a Navy team that almost pulled the upset against Cincinnati in Annapolis last weekend. We close it out with two teams that really don't like each other: UNLV and Nevada. The Wolf Pack "welcome" the Rebels up to Reno after their heartbreaking loss to Fresno over the weekend. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/29/21 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Carson Strong, Nevada ($9,200)

Strong threw for 476 and four touchdowns in a losing effort against Fresno last weekend. He has at least 370 passing yards in each of his last three games. This Nevada offense is finally humming along and we are reaping the rewards in DFS. The last team to hold Strong under 300 was Boise. Kansas State was the only other team to do so in seven games. That's a whole lot of 300+ yard games. Another one will come here.

Cameron Friel, UNLV ($5,500)

Doug Brumfield is back taking some reps at practice, but I have a really hard time seeing how the Rebels can take Friel out of the starting job. Two of this three games in relief of Brumfield have been better than anything Brumfield did as the starter. Friel completed 20 of 28 passes for 240 yards last week in the near-miss against San Jose State. While I do expect both Friel and Brumfield to get reps in this game, I would be shocked if Friel didn't get the lion's share of the snaps.

Also consider: Davis Brin, Tulsa ($7,000); Tai Lavatai, Navy ($6,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Charles Williams, UNLV ($6,200)

Williams came very close to another 100-yard rushing game against a tough San Jose State rush defense. He should be back over that against Nevada as long as the Rebels don't get blown off the field. Aside from a great game against Boise, Nevada's run defense has had some problems. Dae Dae Hunter went nuts on them a couple of games ago as did Ronnie Rivers last week. Charles Williams is going to be the next back to have success against the Wolf Pack defense.

Toa Taua, Nevada ($5,600)

Sometimes it seems that Nevada running the ball is more inconvenience than anything else. The UNLV run defense hasn't been bad, but it hasn't been good either. If Vegas is right, Nevada is going to have a lot of clock to run out, which should keep Taua busy. Kansas State was the only team to hold Taua to single-digit DraftKings points. The Rebels wont be the second team to do it.

Isaac Ruoss, Navy ($3,900)

Navy runs a ton and Ruoss has led the Middies in rushing attempts in three of the last four games. Air Force was the only game in which he carried less than ten times. He gets a steady workload in an offense that runs the ball a lot. That give Ruoss a great floor for a punt play.

Also consider: Shamari Brooks, Tulsa ($6,700); Deneric Prince, Tulsa ($4,800); Devonte Lee, Nevada ($3,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Romeo Doubs, Nevada ($7,900)

Doubs had a staggering 19 receptions last week. That likely wont happen due to the game script here, but if UNLV does manage to keep this game close, Doubs is capable of putting up slate-breaking numbers. His 48.3 DraftKings points last week was more than he had in the previous three games combined. Fresno couldn't cover him. UNLV wont be able to either.

Kyle Williams, UNLV ($4,900)

I never like to put too much stock into one big game, but the UNLV offense is different with Friel calling the shots. He's the best passer that they have on the team and is better suited for helping the Rebels keep up. Williams had a season-high seven receptions for 117 yards last week. He was well worth the price even though he didn't find the end zone. If Friel is starting this game, I'm pairing him with Williams.

Steve Jenkins, UNLV ($4,600)

The horrible game against Utah State aside, Jenkins has flourished with Friel behind center. Jenkins has three touchdowns in the last four games, putting up 256 receiving yards in the three games aside from the Utah State game. Nevada's defense isn't built to do what the Aggies did to UNLV. I do expect the Rebels to throw to keep up and to do a decent job of it.

Juan Carlos Santana/Keylon Stokes, Tulsa ($4,400/$4,200)

Santana has had three very good games with Stokes out. With Stokes in, Stokes got double-digit targets in the two games and Santana caught one pass in each. If Stokes is out, play Santana for value. If Stokes is in, he's pretty much a lock at this price with the target share he still gets.

Also consider: Cole Turner, Nevada ($7,200); Josh Johnson, Tulsa ($6,500); Tory Horton, Nevada ($4,100)
