Richard Sherman Expects To Sign After Draft
Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman said on The Cris Collinsworth Podcast that he expects to sign with a team after the NFL draft later this month. "You turn 33, and then it's like, 'We'll wait until we get a young pup; and if we can't get a young pup, we'll take an old fool.' So that's where we're sitting," Sherman said. The All-Pro defensive back just completed a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers that paid him almost $31 million. San Fran appears to have their starting cornerbacks in place for 2021, so a reunion with Sherman looks unlikely. The New Orleans Saints have shown interest in the four-time Pro Bowler, but it remains to be seen where he'll land. While Sherman may only have a few years left, he can still make plays and help a team's secondary.Read More News
