FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/24/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Trae Young - Atlanta Hawks

Shane McNichol highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/24/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Wednesday’s eleven game slate is a beautiful sight for NBA DFS players. Across plenty of action in both conferences, there are tons of intriguing plays including big name stars and sleepers under the radar. With the trade deadline looming, plenty of players will be looking to show out or be sidelined by teams ready to move them.

The highlight of Wednesday’s schedule is a possible Finals preview. The Nets are in Salt Lake City to visit the Western Conference leading Jazz. With LeBron James and Joel Embiid both sidelined with injuries, the Nets and Jazz have their sights on locking up the top seed in their respective conferences before the playoffs roll around. Home court advantage, with fans back in the stands, is a key thing to watch for this season.

This post will be recommending daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/24/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on Rotoballer’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Trae Young, PG – ATL @ SAC ($8,700)

The fairly slow-paced Hawks should be sped up by the Kings, resulting in a high scoring night from Atlanta. Sacramento still sits well below the rest of the league in defensive efficiency, allowing 118.7 points per 100 possessions, a full point higher than any other club.

If Atlanta is going to pile up points, Young is the most likely to benefit. He’s already 6th in the league in usage rate, but in recent weeks, as the Hawks have navigated injuries, his role has grown even more. His usage rate of 33.4 percent since February 17 would trail only Luka Doncic, Bradley Beal, and Joel Embiid this season.

Ty Jerome, SG – OKC vs MEM ($4,300)

The Thunder are the walking wounded right now, leaving a vacuum in their lineup for someone to fill with production. Jerome, an inclusion in the trade that sent Chris Paul to Houston, is flashing back to his days at Virginia by being a helpful contributor in the month of March.

Since joining the Thunder from the G-League earlier this month, Jerome has not shied away from a role. In his last six games, he is averaging 11.5 points and 4.3 assists in over 27 minutes per game. Jump on his hot streak while it lasts, before opposing teams key on his shooting from the perimeter.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, SG – OKC vs MEM ($7,000)

While Jerome has been a breath of fresh air for the Thunder, it’s been Shai Gilgeous-Alexander growing into a starring role in Paul’s stead. He’s averaging 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists per game.

After missing the first game of a back-to-back earlier this week, he popped for 31 points in a win over Minnesota. He’ll look to keep that energy going against Memphis, in what promises to be a high possession, high output game. He’s underpriced as the 11th shooting guard on the board.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Gordon Hayward, SF – CHA @ HOU ($7,000)

With LaMelo Ball sidelined for the rest of the season, Hayward’s offensive role should increase. The Hornets were relying on both Ball and Hayward to initiate offense, especially in transition. Hayward should get the lion’s share of those duties.

In Charlotte’s first game without Ball, Hayward did just that, scoring 27 points and dishing 6 assists. Against a collapsing Rockets team, he should have chances to score or rack up assists.

Dorian Finney-Smith, SF – DAL @ MIN ($3,900)

The fifth year forward out of Florida has been a key cog for the Mavs this season. Finney-Smith plays the third most minutes per game for Dallas, trailing only Luka Doncic and Josh Richardson. His shooting is relied on by Doncic to stretch defenses away from the center of the floor.

Recently, Finney-Smith went ice cold. During a 10-game stretch from February 22 to March 15, he made just 26 percent form outside the arc, taking more than four attempts per game. Sunday’s 3 for 6 performance suggests the cold spurt is over and regression should lead him to a hot run in late March. Against the struggling Wolves, he’ll continue to make shots.

Daniel Theis, PF – BOS @ MIL ($5,300)

Tristan Thompson appears on his way out of Boston. Reports are swirling about his fit with the team and their desire to move on, with Thompson inactive during Boston’s last five outings. That leaves an increased role for Theis, a steady veteran in the Boston lineup.

In his last three games, Theis is averaging 13.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 27.5 minutes. His play in the middle is key for a Celtics team trying to figure out how it fits together moving forward. Against a high tempo Bucks team, Theis should continue his recent production.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Richaun Holmes – ATL @ SAC ($7,700)

The Kings center has become one of the most underappreciated contributors in the NBA. Holmes has scored in double-figures in 11 straight games and is coming off a 16 rebound performance at Cleveland.

In a fast-paced, back-and-forth game between the Hawks and Kings, Holmes should be able to produce on the stat sheet. Marvin Bagley’s absence keeps Holmes on the floor for longer stretches and makes him a valuable DFS play.
