Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 13

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 13 of the 2020 NFL season. These are free agent WRs to add, stream and stash.

Another week of NFL football is in the books, mostly, though there is (maybe) a game on Tuesday this week.

The wide receiver-centric recap of Week 12 goes like this: Tyreek Hill TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL TYREEK HILL

Anyway, let's talk waiver wire options at wide receiver. Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 13 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 30% rostered or below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders

29% rostered

Huh. Renfrow had seen a huge reduction in usage lately, but his nine targets on Sunday had him looking like he did earlier in the year. It's hard to make sense of Renfrow's 2020 season, as he should excel in the short passing game with Derek Carr at QB, but he just...isn't. Still, with the Jets on deck next week, Renfrow has some deep-league appeal if he's still on your wire.

Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders

28% rostered

Looking for some higher upside against the Jets next week than Renfrow provides? How about Ruggs, the speedy rookie who tied his season high with five targets. He caught three of them for 56 yards. He's another deep-league option, but like Renfrow, there's a low floor, even if he projects to eventually be a Tyreek Hill-type for Vegas. Both guys have value, but also are probably around their cap of how many leagues they should be rostered in.

Keelan Cole Sr., Jacksonville Jaguars

27% rostered

This is such a weird situation, as D.J. Chark Jr. missed this game with a rib injury and Mike Glennon started at QB. The Jags passing game looks nothing like we expected. But Cole has five or more targets in three straight games and a couple of enticing matchups coming up. He has deep-league appeal right now.

Golden Tate, New York Giants

14% rostered

Remember when Tate got suspended a game by the team? Well, since then he has 14 targets in two games, including nine this week against the Bengals. He caught four for just 36 yards, so it's not like Tate set the world on fire or anything, but it's worth noting that Darius Slayton was targeted just twice. If Tate is getting more targets, he becomes a really interesting play against the Seahawks next week, who have a historically bad pass defense.

Breshad Perriman, New York Jets

12% rostered

The return of Sam Darnold didn't change the new reality in the Meadowlands: Perriman and Denzel Mims are the go-to guys here now. Both were targeted eight times in this game, with Perriman catching four of them for 79 yards. He didn't score a touchdown this week, but he's been the big-play guy lately for the Jets and it appears that's set to be how things continue. He's a WR4 option.

Denzel Mims, New York Jets

7% rostered

Mims feels like he's trending towards having a safer role than Perriman, even if both had the same number of targets and receptions this week, with Mims ending up at 67 yards. The rookie has seven or more targets in three consecutive games and is becoming a nice floor play since returning to the lineup, even if he's failed to have a real breakout game yet. His upcoming schedule offers a few good chances for productivity.

Damiere Byrd, New England Patriots

5% rostered

Only two wide receivers had receptions in this game for New England -- N'Keal Harry didn't catch any of his three targets -- and Byrd led those receivers in targets, with seven to Jakobi Meyers's six. Meyers was more productive, but Byrd's increased usage lately is worth making note of, and he has the potential to be a WR4 play in plus matchups, like next week against the Chargers.

Gabriel Davis, Buffalo Bills

3% rostered

John Brown is on the IR, so Gabriel Davis is about to see a lot more usage. This week, he was targeted four times, catching three of them for 79 yards and a touchdown (from Cole Beasley!). Davis is the third option here now, but he's definitely got more upside playing the John Brown role than pretty much anyone else you can get off waivers right now, making him one of my top targets.

Keke Coutee, Houston Texans

1% rostered

Randall Cobb is on IR. Kenny Stills was waived. The Texans pass the ball a lot, so it's time to remember a guy: Keke Coutee.

After being such an afterthought that I assumed Houston would just cut him, Coutee has seven targets in the last two games. He's found the end zone in both -- once via touchdown and once via two-point conversion. I think there's some -- not much, but some -- deep-league full-PPR value here.

Update: Will Fuller V has been suspended the rest of the year, so Coutee's got more value now than he did a few days ago, though a savvy fantasy manager might want to look Isaiah Coulter's way, as the speedy youngster should see some downfield usage with Fuller gone.

Collin Johnson, Jacksonville Jaguars

0% rostered

If Chark is back next week, Johnson should be off your fantasy radar. But hard to ignore that when the Jaguars switched to Glennon at QB, Johnson suddenly became part of things, with career highs in targets (eight), receptions (four), and yards (96), plus catching the second touchdown of his young career. Johnson could be in line for similar usage if Chark is out again. He also could easily be back to getting zero targets if Chark returns.
