WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (9/4/20): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 9/4/20. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Three more games on the WNBA docket tonight. Storm and Sparks as the nightcap has to be the big highlight game, with two of the league's best teams facing off. Seattle won when the teams faced last month, but Los Angeles is hot right now, winning 10 of their last 11 games.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/4/20. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Courtney Vandersloot (G, Chicago Sky) – vs Washington Mystics (DK: $10,500, FD: $7,200)

At this point, I probably sound like a broken record when it comes to Courtney Vandersloot. But with her upside as a scorer and a passer, she virtually always has the highest upside of any guard on whatever slate she's on, and that upside increases on Friday against a Washington Mystics team with the WNBA's third-worst defensive rating over the last five games. Vandersloot hasn't finished with fewer than nine assists in a game since August 16th, by the way, and has hit double digits in dimes in her past two games, adding 13 points in each of them as well.

Jewell Loyd (G, Seattle Storm) – vs Los Angeles Sparks (DK: $8,200, FD: $6,000)

With Sue Bird back, you might have expected some drop off from Loyd, but last time out she finished with 13 points, two made threes, three rebounds, two assists, and a pair of steals. A solid, stat-sheet stuffing day for Loyd. With Jordin Canada doubtful with a knee injury tonight, Loyd could see a little more ball-handling duty than normal too, increasing her upside when it comes to assists.

Jacki Gemelos (G, Washington Mystics) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $3,700, FD: $3,000)

Today's low-cost punt option is Mystics guard Jacki Gemelos. Since coming to Washington, Gemelos is playing around 15 minutes each night and taking a good number of shot attempts. At first, those weren't falling, but she's coming off 10 points against the Storm, as well as two rebounds and two assists. Gemelos gets the volume to produce a decent DFS stat line, and while it's risky to bet on that happening, her low salary on both platforms makes her worth the dart throw.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Satou Sabally (F, Dallas Wings) – vs Minnesota Lynx (DK: $10,200 FD: $6,900)

Sabally has become the starting center in Dallas, which both 1) seems odd and 2) is working. She's been playing some really good basketball lately, and while her three-point shot continues to not fall, she's making things happen in other ways. She's taken 30 free throws in the last three games. She has three games in a row with exactly 11 rebounds. Before the Sparks game, she'd had a block in eight consecutive games. Sabally does everything for the Wings, including dish out a handful of assists per night. Don't love the Minnesota matchup, but love Sabally's upside.

Myisha Hines-Allen (F, Washington Mystics) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $9,500, FD: $6,900)

Hines-Allen struggled last game, scoring just two points in a loss to Seattle. But she's been a key contributor all year for the Mystics, averaging 14.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, along with 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals. Chicago's frontcourt depth is a little rough right now, which should open things up for Hines-Allen to have a strong performance and bounce back from that rough one against the Storm. She's one of the highest upside plays on this slate of the non-elite options. (And yes, I managed to not write about Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, or Candace Parker today!)

Gabby Williams (F, Chicago Sky) – vs Washington Mystics (DK: $7,700, FD: $5,800)

Finally, Gabby Williams, who is listed as a guard on FanDuel, but is a forward in this column because I primarily play on DraftKings so I've got some bias.

Williams has been on a roll lately, but it was kind of halted against the Lynx, as she scored just three points. Still, the rest of her game was there, as she had six rebounds, four assists, and two steals, and I think we can expect some better shooting against the Mystics, who are much worse defensively than Minnesota. (Sorry, Washington!) It was a different time against a better Washington team, but on August 1st, Williams had 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals against this team, so we've seen her have success in this spot in the past. Plus, she's played 34-plus minutes in four of the last five games.
