Washington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov saved 38 of 41 shots in Friday's 4-3 road win over Carolina, becoming only the second goalie in league history to produce a win in all of his first eight career road starts. Brent Johnson is the only other guy to do it, and he even went 11-0-0 on the road to start off his career. Lars Eller and Evgeny Kuznetsov both finished the game with a goal and an assist, Jakub Vrana scored the game-winner with his 16th marker of the season. Samsonov now boasts an 11-2-1 record overall for the season with a 2.33 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. He almost recorded his first career shutout on Friday, as he held Carolina off the scoresheet until the third period.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
