DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/9/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on November 9, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

After watching last night's game versus the Knicks, It's hard to trust anyone on the Dallas Mavericks not named Luka Doncic or Kristaps Porzingis. There is no offense outside of these two players and it seems that the team is lost even when they have the ball. Hope about Dallas making the playoffs is all but lost, although there is plenty of upside when it comes to DFS. Dorian Finney-Smith, Jalen Brunson and Seth Curry all have a split role in the rotation and every game is a toss up between who plays well and who flops.

Since Doncic and Porzingis are the only players on that team that are capable of creating offense and producing, I am staying away from every Maverick tonight specifically. Two young teams on the second night of a back-to-back shouldn't be dealing with too much fatigue, but still, outside of the top options there is just little consistency around this game.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/9/19.  You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks.  Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.  Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Tyus Jones - PG/SG, vs. DAL ($3,900)

Since Tyus Jones has and should keep producing, there is no reason to fade him against Dallas. You might have seen this coming with my introduction, but it should be no surprise that Jones, a capable point guard, has been productive in his minutes with the Grizzlies backcourt. JA Morant can score on his own, but other than that, it's up to players like Jones to keep the ball moving and other players involved in the offense.

Despite the Grizzlies struggles this season, recently Jones has been on a slight tear as the Memphis backup. Even with limited minutes he is producing and in a way that is actually beneficial to DFS players. Let's hope Jalen Brunson and Seth Curry get similar minutes and are tasked with guarding Jones.

Jordan Poole - SG/SF, @ OKC ($4,200)

Even though Jordan Poole is due for a big game, Eric Paschall is seemingly sweeping out the rug from under him every game. Realistically, he's not. Paschall is hitting his shots and creating for himself. Poole is missing a majority of his shots and has accepted a minor role as wing shooter who waits to see the ball. Nothing wrong with that, it just makes him matchup dependent since he can't create his own offense consistently.

Versus the Thunder I trust Poole to hit his projected, but this is a last ditch effort pick. If you have no one left and over $4,200 to spend, you might also want to check out Tim Hardaway Jr. I don't know how he convinced Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle to get as many minutes in the rotation, but he did and there's no reason to fight it. Since he flopped in arguably the only game he SHOULD have produced, it only makes sense he shoots the lights out against a team he's never played before.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Tomas Satoransky - PG/SF, @ CHI ($5,700)

Last game might have seemed like an outlier for someone like Tomas Satoransky, but this is what he became known for doing while in Washington. He can score from any level and his ability to find teammates is surprisingly good. The Rockets defense has been pathetic and since their rotation remains small, it's easy to see where Satoransky can cut out a good chunk of production.

Tonight, Satoransky has a better chance of heating up than cooling down, but he will need his teammates to contribute if this game wants to remain close. Satoransky might be able to carry a team for a few games, but he can't win a duel with James Harden on his own.

Maxi Kleber - PF/C, @ MEM ($4,100)

What's the point of even gambling if you aren't going to contradict yourself once or twice while going through the process. So the Maverick backcourt might be in shambles, but it's pretty evident that their frontcourt clearly has something going for them. Maxi Kleber was one of the few Mavericks players that was actively getting open and pulling the trigger when they could. You can watch the game again, he was literally the only Dallas player that provided support on offense to Doncic and Porzingis.

The Grizzlies struggled to contain the Magic bigs last night, and while it won't be the same type of production, Kleber has plenty of upside if he can keep shooting like he has been. I would be surprised if Kleber doesn't double-double here.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein - C, @ OKC ($3,900)

This is an awkward pick for me because I literally just dropped Willie Cauley-Stein in my standard league. He will still have big games, especially in games like tonight where he should have upside in rebounding, but there is still risk with how Cauley-Stein is producing. The Warriors aren't winning so even with his minutes all over the place, there is actually some promise here. He just needs to score and since his only real competition in the paint will be Steven Adams, I trust him to score 10 points for the second time this season by getting easy buckets around the rim, catching the Thunder bigs rotating.
