San Diego Padres starter Matt Strahm is scheduled to return from the IL for Thursday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The Friars placed Strahm on the IL on June 5 with a left rib strain and has made a prompt recovery in time to start the series opener in Coors Field. It's a tough matchup out of the gate for the southpaw and owners might want to keep him on the bench in his first game back. Strahm has had an up-and-down year with a 4.03 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts in 60.1 IP, although his ERA inflated after his last start when he gave up seven runs. Expect Strahm to remain a healthy contributor to multiple pitching categories throughout the year, and he should be snagged off waivers wherever he was dropped.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
