Welcome to the daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/28/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Chris Sale - P, vs TB ($10,000)
Sale has struggled quite a bit this season, but he's coming off of his best performance of 2019 against the Detroit Tigers. Most importantly, his strikeout rate sits at only 22.6%, which is significantly lower than his 38.4% strikeout rate in 2018. He should see positive regression on that, while his ERA will also drop according to his xFIP (4.43) and SIERA (4.16). Sale is entirely too cheap because of his recent struggles, and he's a -153 favorite in a game set at 8 runs. He isn't safe enough to be considered in cash games, but he's a strong tournament play.
Steven Matz - P, vs MIL ($8,000)
Excluding his matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, Matz has looked outstanding this season. His strikeout rate is up to 26% in 2019, while his swinging strike rate sits at 9.3%. He has scored 23+ fantasy points in three of his last four games, struggling only in a tough matchup against the Phillies. Matz owns an ERA under 1.00 at home this season, and he's a -115 favorite in a game set at only 8 runs. He's a player that can be considered in all leagues today.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Martin Maldonado - C, vs LAA ($2,800)
Maldonado isn't an elite option, but he has scored fantasy points in each of his last 10 games. He also comes with an extremely low price tag, and he's a punt option at catcher. Maldonado also comes with decent peripherals, posting 39% hard-hit and fly ball rates with a 90 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets a plus matchup against Matt Harvey, and Maldonado is a strong option for a low price tag.
Kendrys Morales - 1B, at TOR ($3,200)
Morales is a sneaky option because of his recent struggles. He's hitting under .100 over his last 10 games, but that doesn't tell the full story. He owns 45% hard-hit and 50% fly ball rates with a 93 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. Morales' will find success soon, and he gets a plus matchup in a hitter friendly stadium. He's cheap enough to be considered in all leagues.
Eric Sogard - 2B/SS, vs OAK ($3,900)
Sogard could be the easiest play on the slate. Since joining the Toronto Blue Jays, he's hitting .400 with five extra-base hits (two home runs), eight RBIs, and two steals. He gets a solid matchup against Chris Bassitt, and Sogard comes with consistency and upside in this matchup. He's expected to lead off for the Blue Jays, and he can safely be considered in all leagues.
Matt Chapman - 3B, at TOR ($4,600)
Chapman has struggled a bit on the road this season, but he's hitting in an extremely hitter friendly stadium. He has also been heating up recently, posting 39% hard-hit and 57% fly ball rates with a 92 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. Chapman is expected to hit third in the Oakland A's lineup, and he makes a strong pairing with Morales on this slate. Chapman can be considered in all leagues.
Adalberto Mondesi - SS, vs LAA ($4,900)
Mondesi has cooled off a bit recently, but he's hitting .333 with a .667 slugging percentage and a 1.023 OPS at home. In those 13 games, he has posted 10 extra-base hits (2 home runs) 12 RBIs, and 5 steals. He's hitting second in the Kansas City Royals lineup, and he gets a plus matchup against Matt Harvey. Mondesi isn't going to come cheap, but he can be considered in all leagues in this matchup.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Max Kepler - OF, vs BAL ($4,200)
Kepler has found some success recently, posting a .250 average with a .556 slugging percentage and a .904 OPS over his last 10 games. Over that span, he owns five extra-base hits (three home runs) and seven RBIs. Kepler gets an elite matchup against Dylan Bundy, and he has scored 49 fantasy points in the first two games of this series. He's leading off for the Minnesota Twins, and Kepler can be used in all leagues.
Curtis Granderson - OF, at PHI ($3,400)
Granderson has struggled for the most part this season, but he's averaging 6.3 fantasy points per game over his last 10 games. Over that span, he owns two games with 20+ fantasy points. Granderson has also been heating up recently, posting 40% hard-hit and 54% fly ball rates with a 94 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets a plus matchup against Zach Eflin in a hitter friendly stadium, as well. Granderson shouldn't be considered in cash games, but he can be used in tournaments on this slate.
