Recent Update

8/10:Milwaukee Brewers are interested in second baseman Ian Kinsler who was placed on revocable waivers by the Detroit Tigers. There are a few hurdles that must be conquered first. First, every team in the American League and then every team in the National League behind Milwaukee in terms of record would have to fail to make a claim. Second, if the Tigers don't just let him go, a deal might be necessary. To add an extra complication, Kinsler has a clause in his contract where he was allowed to make a list of teams he can't be traded to without his permission and Milwaukee was on it. Right now, the odds of the Brewers successfully getting Kinsler through the process is low. The bigger message made by the Brewers is that they are concerned by the slumps that Eric Sogard and Jonathan Villar are currently in.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
