ANALYSIS: Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi has seen his fantasy stock rise greatly over the last few weeks. In fact, it may be easier to sell Odorizzi than more prominent waiver wire pickups. The Twins pitcher was stellar in his last outing, pitching six scoreless innings against the White Sox in Chicago, striking out eight batters.
While this solid start was not against a team he is facing this week, Odorizzi has already seen the two teams that he will face this week. Odorizzi has faced the Brewers and Orioles in 2018 and will throw in Milwaukee and at home against Baltimore in Week 14.
In his two previous matchups against these teams, Odorizzi has allowed one earned run in 11 2/3 innings and punched out 17 batters in the process. Milwaukee and Baltimore are also both in the top ten in regards to team strikeouts in 2018. The Orioles are also 27th in team wOBA (.297) against right-handed pitchers this year.
