Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Jalen Beeks continues to pitch well for Triple-A Pawtucket. He was a 12th-round pick in the 2014 draft but has risen far beyond exceptions of such a draft choice. On Thursday, he allowed five hits in 6 2/3 innings with two earned runs, one walk and struck out nine batters. Through five starts, he holds a minuscule ERA (1.71) and WHIP (0.95) with 46 strikeouts in 26 innings. Expect Beeks to be called up at the end of the year.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
