Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks article for Monday, April 25th of the 2015/2016 NHL season. Each day we'll be providing you with a handful of forward, defensemen, and goaltender picks for DraftKings and FanDuel GPP and cash games.
Two games make up Monday's slate, each with the heaviest of implications attached. We enter our first game seven of the 2015-2016 postseason as the St. Louis Blues host the Chicago Blackhawks in what's been one of the most competitive series.

NHL DFS Picks for Monday, April 25th
A couple strategy notes. For cash game construction look for players who can contribute to your score when they are not providing offense. Examples are guys who take a ton of shots, defensemen who block a lot of shots(DraftKings). Also, look for guys who get powerplay time and especially Top 6 forwards. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury or just get a promotion and more ice time.
For large field tournaments (GPP's) you want to find payers who have multi point upside and can grab double digit fantasy points. To stack the most upside in your forwards a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone. Try and look for a D man who will be playing more PP time or might get a boost in overall playing time due to an injury.
Let's take a look at some solid plays for today's action.
Frederik Andersen - Goaltender, Ducks (DraftKings - $8,300 FanDuel - $ )
Andersen has won three straight starts for the Anaheim Ducks, and will look to close out the series on the road versus the Nashville Predators. The Ducks lead the series 3-2, thanks mostly in part to the play of Andersen. He's allowed only three goals in three games, posting a shutout in the first game of the series. Goalies are vital to a high score for Daily Fantasy. Andersen is the top choice between the pipes on Monday.
Jonathan Toews - Center, Blackhawks (DraftKings - $6,100 FanDuel - $ )
Toews has had a very productive series, posting six points in six games (one goal, five assists), and heads into a win-or-go-home game seven in St. Louis. Toews is one of the top options at any position and can prove to be a tremendous factor on Monday.
Artem Anisimov - Center, Blackhawks (DraftKings - $5,000 FanDuel - $ )
Anisimov has scored in two straight games, and three out of his last four. He's also blocked a couple of shots and has put the puck on net often. The Blackhawks will pull all the strings during game seven on the road, and look for Anisimov to continue his streaky scoring.
Jamie McGinn - Winger, Ducks (DraftKings - $4,400 FanDuel - $ )
McGinn has lit the lamp twice, and was a consistent scoring threat for Anaheim during the regular season. Look for him to put the puck on net often, and help the Ducks avoid a game seven.
Jakob Silfverberg - Winger, Ducks (DraftKings - $5,500 FanDuel - $ )
Silfverberg has now posted three points in the last two games of the series, playing around 15 minutes a night. He has four total points so far, and will look to add to that total in game six. He's also tallied two or more shots on goal in each game of the series, and has spent some time in the penalty box, beneficial for those playing FanDuel.
Jay Bouwmeester - Defenseman, Blues (DraftKings - $3,600 FanDuel - $ )
Bouwmeester is more of a blocks threat than anything else. He's posted only one point during the playoffs so far, but has blocked eight shots in six games. He's affordable and doesn't need to score or assist to affect Daily Fantasy lineups. Bouwmeester's minutes have remained well over 20 minutes a night, and can also put the puck on net occasionally.
Sami Vatanen - Defenseman, Ducks (DraftKings - $4,800 FanDuel - $ )
Vatanen has tallied a point in three straight games for the Ducks, consisting of one goal and three assists, and has really begun to pick it up as the series reaches its end. He posted five shots on goal and two blocked shots in his last game, and has played 20+ minutes in each game of the series.
