Addison Reed was bounced from Arizona after a nightmarish stretch as the team's closer. He would rebound and be an effective reliever, but never regained his closing job. After joining the Amazins, Reed posted an impressive 1.17 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 17/5 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings. With Tyler Clippard gone, Reed is poised to be the setup man for the Mets in 2016. He will be a good source of holds, while hopefully continuing his resurgence in terms of ratios. Also, should Familia ever need a break or be injured, Reed has closing experience and will be able to accumulate some saves.
