Daily Fantasy Football Picks and Advice - DraftKings Lineups and Sleepers: NFL Wild Card Week

Welcome to the first week of Playoffs edition of Daily Fantasy Football DraftKings targets. An introduction is not really all that necessary, as the title of this DFS article pretty much sums up what is going to be discussed.

It's important to identify players with good matchups, but we also want to look at their DraftKings prices so we can hopefully find low-cost / high-production players for your lineups.

I will be providing one top DFS play and one DFS value play at each position for the first week of Playoffs NFL DraftKings action. Let's get down to it.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks for Playoffs

Kirk Cousins (vs GB, $5,900)

Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback on the board this week. That sounds odd to say with Ben Roethlisberger, Russell Wilson, and Aaron Rodgers all suiting up to play, but both Roethlisberger and Wilson get a tough matchup, and Rodgers has not been himself since the Packers' offensive line failed to perform. Cousins, on the other hand, is lighting it up right now. Last week against the Dallas Cowboys, he only threw the ball 15 times (he was taken out of the game, as the Redskins had already clinched playoffs), completing 12 of those attempts for almost 200 yards and three touchdowns. In his two games prior, he scored four touchdowns and threw zero interceptions in both. Against the Cowboys, he posted almost 20 fantasy points in less than half of a game, and against the Eagles and Bills, he posted over 35 fantasy points in both. There is no reason to avoid him, as the Redskins are ready to let him shine this week.

AJ McCarron (vs PIT, $5,200)

Aside from Kirk Cousins, there are not too many other solid options at the quarterback position. It should be rather obvious that Cousins is far and away the best option. He should be used in a majority of lineups. However, if you are looking for a little bit of separation, AJ McCarron makes for a decent option. He has been playing rather well for the Cincinnati Bengals since Andy Dalton's injury. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not a great defensive team, especially against opposing quarterbacks. McCarron could definitely hit value, as his price tag is extremely low. Do not use him in 50/50 contests; instead, save him for tournaments.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs for Playoffs

DeAngelo Williams (at CIN, $7,000)

DeAngelo Williams is questionable to play this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. I'm sure he is going to suit up. This is obviously the most important game of the season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Williams has had a great season after the injury to LeVeon Bell. He has 200 attempts for almost 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Cincinnati Bengals aren't great against opposing running backs, and Williams is one of the best on the board. If he does not end up playing, switch over to Jordan Todman. He is as cheap as it gets, and he will likely hit value behind the solid Steelers' offensive line.

Eddie Lacy (at WAS, $4,500)

Eddie Lacy has been limited for the Green Bay Packers over the last couple of weeks, but I'm assuming that they do not limit him in the playoffs. It is possible that Lacy sits out this week, as he was limited in practice on Wednesday, but with the Packers' season on the lineup, he will likely suit up. Not only will he suit up, he will likely see a majority of the carries for the Packers' offense. Lacy has been extremely up and down so far this season, but this week, his price tag is too low. He should definitely be used in tournaments, as Lacy has proven that he can post over 20 fantasy points.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers for Playoffs

Antonio Brown (at CIN, $9,600)

Antonio Brown's price tag is ridiculous at this point, but he is still usable. This week, there are a bunch of solid value plays, such as Kirk Cousins and Eddie Lacy, so Brown is affordable. Last week against the Cleveland Browns, he caught 13 balls for almost 200 yards and a touchdown. In two of his last four games, Brown is averaging around 45 fantasy points in those two games. He has tremendous upside, and his season has been ridiculous. If Big Ben had stayed healthy, it is not ridiculous to assume that Brown would of eclipsed 2,000 yards rather easily. He is the best wide receiver in the league (sorry Julio and Beckham). Use him in any format.

DeSean Jackson (vs GB, $4,500)

DeSean Jackson should obviously only be used in tournaments, but he is a great play in that format. Jackson did not catch a ball last week, but there was no need for him to play last week. The Washington Redskins had already clinched playoffs, and Jackson was dealing with a knee issue. He will be playing this week, and he has great upside. Jackson is a deep threat, and Cousins figured out how to utilize him. He is the second best receiving option on the Washington Redskins team. Against the Buffalo Bills, he showed off how good he can be, catching 6 balls for over 150 yards and a touchdown. This equaled over 30 fantasy points. It is possible that he repeats that performance this week in a very important game for the Redskins' franchise.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends for Playoffs

Jordan Reed (vs GB, $6,300)

Jordan Reed is Kirk Cousins go to option, and he will continue to be his go to option this week against the Green Bay Packers. In only a half of football, Reed caught 4 balls for 45 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. In the three games prior to that, Reed reached the end zone five times, and averaged over 30 fantasy points per game. He is going to dominate the Green Bay Packers this week. Reed is one of the best tight end options in the league for both fantasy and regular football, and it is a shame that he did not make the Pro-Bowl. It is not ridiculous to play Cousins, Jackson, and Reed in the same lineup. If you are looking for consistency, pairing Cousins with Reed is basically a must this week.
