The marque game of this weekend's Spanish footballing fare will take place in Galicia on Saturday as the two top teams face off with Celta Vigo hosting current league leaders Real Madrid.

If we are to use history as a prognosticator then the fates will ensure that Real will once again emerge victorious this weekend given that Celta Vigo have won just one of their last six encounters. In a total of 34 matches between the two sides, Real Madrid have won 20, Celta Vigo 11 and just three matches have ended in a draw. Playing at home though does tend to suit Celta, as 7 of their 11 success against Los Blancos have been on home soil.

Both teams remain unbeaten so far this season, and are separated only by goal difference ahead of their meeting at Balaidos. The hosts have banged in an impressive 17 goals in their opening eight matches and in Nolito they have a striker in prolific form with the Spaniard tallying six goals so far this La Liga season. Real Madrid have been finding goals plentiful as well, having scored 18 goals, with 12 of them being racked up by Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, although Ronaldo secured the bulk of his goal haul in one five-goal rampage against Espanyol. Celta Vigo's last outing saw them edge out Villarreal 2-1, making it their first victory since they famously beat Barcelona 4-1 back in September, and after drawing with Eibar and Getafe before the Villarreal game, it was the perfect tonic for them ahead of Saturday's mammoth clash.

Whilst scoring goals doesn't seem to present a problem for Celta, their defending hasn't been as resolute - especially in comparison with their guests. Real have only conceded two goals this season so far, whilst Celta have allowed eight goals and have kept only two clean sheets. Real are also coming into this game on the back of a win having secured an easy 3-0 win over Levante last weekend, after they also drew their previous two games, dropping points against Malaga and Atletico. The visitors will travel to Galicia with a host of injury concerns with Benzema, Bale and James Rodriguez all hobbled but this not withstanding, the fact that Real have kept six clean sheets so far this season (the most in the league) combined with the fluency of their goal scoring abilities we'd expect them to return home with a draw at the very least. However, we think this match will be free flowing attacking and spirited affair and probably sprinkled in goals although ultimately we think Real will be taking the bus home with three points in tow.
